Located in the town centre of Rüeggisberg, Cottage Holiday was once the town’s general store, and now sells garden decoration on its ground floor. Guests can book a flight above the Alps with the Cottage’s staff. Rooms at Cottage Holiday are spacious and have views of the Bernese Alps and the property’s manicured gardens. Units come with a private bathroom, and feature white-washed floors and wall-panelling. Exposed wooded beams adorn the high pitched ceilings in several units. Breakfast is served each morning, and coffee and cake can be enjoed in the garden during summer against a surcharge. Wi-Fi and private parking are available on site free of charge. The local bus stops 150 metres away, and several restaurants are within 400 metres. Bern can be reached by car in 20 minutes, and a large lake can be visited in Thun, 24 km away. Der ausgefallene Stil der Zimmer, sehr heimelig. Für einen reinen Bern -besuch ist es dann doch etwas abgelegen.

Wer die Lage auf dem Land, etwas abgeschieden liebt, ist hier genau richtig. Wir hatten einen phantastischen Ausblick auf die Berner Alpen, Sonnenaufgang vom Bett aus geniessend. Das Zimmer ist gemütlich, komfortabel mit Sofa ausgestattet, so dass man die Grösse des Zimmers gerne nutzt. Sehr grosszügig ist auch die Möglichkeit selbst Kaffee zu bereiten oder kleine Snacks oder Wein im Vorraum zu nehmen. Man fühlt sich sehr verwöhnt und kann das Frühstück im kleinen Ladenlokal zwischen vielen schönen Dekorationsdetails in besonderer Atmosphäre einnehmen. Einige wenige Haken in Bad und Zimmer wären wünschenswert, da man grössere Kleidungstücke nicht aufhängen kann. Ich brauche keinen grossen Schrank, aber etwas in der Richtung wäre noch komfortabel.

La simplicité, la disponibilité et la gentillesse du personnel. La décoration, l'espace et le style romantique des chambres. Le calme et la magnifique vue de la chambre côté sud. Le petit-déjeuner est copieux. Une belle région à découvrir non loin de Berne, Fribourg et l'Oberland bernois. Peut-être un petit vestiaire pour suspendre les manteaux et vestes.

Wunderschoene Aussicht! Ruhige Lage. Wir konnten es ungestoert geniessen. Das Personal ist sehr nett. Wuerde es jederzeit weiterempfehlen.

Le style effectivement romantique sans rapport avec les chambres souvent impersonnelles des chaînes hôtelières. L'accueil et le très bon breakfast servi avec beaucoup d'amabilité. Grosse difficulté à trouver cet hôtel : aucune mention "Romantikhotel" à l'extérieur de l'établissement mais "B&B". Il s'agit de l'aménagement de plusieurs chambres à l'étage d'une "Gardenbijoux". Le nom de Romantikhotel n'est pas connu dans le village, seul un chauffeur de car postal a pu finalement nous indiquer la situation de ce B&B. Heureusement nous sommes arrivés de jour car de nuit nous aurions dû nous rabattre sur Berne. Nous avons suggéré qu'un panneau "Romantikhotel Cottage Holiday" soit clairement exposé à l'extérieur.

Die Inneneinrichtung, die mit vielen liebevoll platzierten Details an alte Zeiten erinnerte, war einfach einmalig. Wir haben uns so richtig wohl gefühlt! Auch das Frühstückszimmer - gleichzeitig ein Shop, der zum Stöbern und Einkaufen verführt - ist ein Genuss. Ganz zu schweigen vom fantastischen Blick auf die Gantrischkette mit Eiger, Mönch und Jungfrau! Wir werden sehr gerne wieder hierher kommen!

Erstaunlich grosszügige Räume, wunderschön eingerichtet, um sich so richtig wohl zu fühlen. Traumhafte Garten-Boutique wo man auch noch gemütlich sitzen kann. Dank meiner Augen-Binde konnte ich am längsten Tag des Jahres auch nach 6Uhr morgens schlafen (es gibt noch keine dunklen Vorhänge).

The room we were staying in had an amazing view of the countryside and the distant mountains. We also enjoyed hearing the cowbells ringing, as well as the nearby church bells. I loved how the room was decorated; it was both relaxing and artful.

De benaming 'hotel' is eigenlijk misplaatst. Het betreft hier een wel heel bijzondere B+B. De kamers bevinden zich boven een soort brocanterie en vormen daar als het ware een voortzetting van. Maar de kamers zijn prachtig, net zoals het uitzicht vanuit de tuin op de Alpenketen in het zuiden.

Ein Traum in weiss. Sehr geschmackvoll mit vielen Details eingerichtet, großes Zimmer mit Blick auf Eiger Mönch und Jungfrau. Kaffeeautomat im Gang. Dieses Zimmer war der Höhepunkt unser Wanderung durch die Schweiz. Luxus und Natur.
