I had many times previously stayed at this hotel, expecting to have the same pleasant experience as in the past, I went ahead and booked my room, but upon arriving I was surprisingly disapointed.I had asked for a non smoking room, and upon entering the room there was a stale odour of smoking in the room, called the reception and they asked me to open the windows. Having done that, I later realised that the air conditioning was not functioning properly. Again I called the reception and they sent some one to fix it, and they said that it is now working. After about four hours, when I returned to the room, the horrible smell of cigarette was still there and still the airconditioning was not working. Eventually I ended up in another room with no balcony, two floors above, and through out the night I could hear peaple talking loudly when passing by my room, and there was a lot of people coming in or going out of the elevator, ( my room was facing the elevator ) To top it all up the sink in the bathroom was blocked, but I didn't even want to tell reception, because I myself couldn't believe how many things had gone wrong, and it felt like I was constantly nagging & trying to find faults. So all in all I had a nasty experience.

Television with radio is not working well bathroom is nice clean but simple

The lake and mountain view was picture postcard. Very comfortable hotel, ask for a lake view room but not room 411. The in-house bar was very good for evening drinks and canapés, the barman was extremely good.

We were in room 411 and when the wind blew it sounded like a jet engine in the room, something wrong with the ventilation system, I advised the front desk and they immediately shifted us to another room, which was good.

I stayed in this hotel one month before my second stay. I had a nice room. For my second stay, I booked exactly the same room with the same specifications and same pictures at booking.com. When I arrived, I was given a tiny little, uncomfortable room with a small bed against the wall, with hardly any space to move around. The hotel stated that they cannot change the room as they have no availability. It was horrible value for the amount I paid. It was an unpleasant surprise. Booking.com should inform clients that the rooms shown in the pictures may not be the rooms people will end up in even though a huge price is charged.

The location is excellent and it provides everything you might need.

It is slightly boring - nothing stands out. The staff could be more personal & smiley, the rooms could be more interesting design wise, the breakfast could have some variation each day.

This is a beatiful classic hotel in the centre of the city. The room was large with a balcony and a phantastic view. The breakfast was rich and was served in a nice room.

There is no bidet in the bathroom. The carpets are a bit worn out.

Large, impressive foyer area. Spacious room with excellent view over town to lake. Good continental breakfast. Quiet and well organised. Family owned.

Lovely hotel with great staff. The room was very comfortable and had a balcony which was great. We could see the Lake from our room. Will definitely stay again. Breakfast was included but not a great deal of choice.

Very expensive. Parking was 28chf per day and the food was also expensive.

Quiet, nice location, perfect view if you are lucky to get a room with the lake view, that is :) Very nice, very clean rooms, friendly personnel, ideal for business travels
