Location and view of the lake were excellent . The concierge, Claude , was great. The staff was friendly. The room was spacious The bathroom was too plain and basic. It didn't at all look like a 5 star one. The room service staff was friendly but not very efficient. They kept forgetting things when bringing food to the room.

We were met at reception by a charming man, Alexander, who confirmed the room rate we were to pay, and the type of room (we had booked a basic room as we were only overnighting in Geneva), and then went on to say we were getting an upgrade. The room we were given was beautifully furnished and spacious with a lovely view of the Lake. We were absolutely delighted. The location was excellent, and the staff were efficient and helpful. We were sorry to leave and wished we were able to stay longer.

Great service - as our room had a hint of smoking smell, we were upgraded to a lake-view room. Also, all staff were excellent, and the rooms gorgeous!

Very beautiful hotel in a great location. Great interior design and art. Our rooms were surprisingly very noisy. Even though the walls were clearly plaster and very thick we could hear everything between our two adjacent rooms as well as all the footsteps and noises from the room above.

Very convenient location and great value for money. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly especially the front desk, concierge and restaurant. Breakfast is perfect with several choices and very good taste. Rooms are spacious and the one I booked had an excellent view of the lake. We enjoyed our stay. Everything was just perfect.

The staff were excellent. They went out of the way to be helpful without being intrusive. I have stayed in a lot 5* hotels and many times I find the staff, room service etc etc, are always being too helpful! In this case the staff was present when I needed them, but not chasing me. The gentleman serving he Orange juice on arrival was much appreciated. The only thing that I was upset with was that I had paid extra for an upgrade to a Deluxe room, and I was upgraded. However, my room was very noisy. The floor above was the offices and it was constant walking about, and I could hear them walking around late into the evening and early morning. Our room was cleaned very late the next day, and it was only when I called up housekeeping and asked them to clean it that someone came round. On both occasions the staff was very apologetic. I even received a gift for this inconvenience. However I think on both fronts, a little bit more management would not go amiss. The only other things I would point out is that the shower cubicle had a fair amount of mould growing in it. A bit of cleaning would be recommended. The cups in the bar were nearly always chipped. So those could do with replacing.

Its small, charming, old-world elegance with a dash of modern design.. In a superb location. I received an upgrade to a lake-view room, and, the price was better than any of the other luxury hotels along this famous street.

The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly - this is what makes Hotel De La Paix so special. It's a homely boutique type of hotel. Breakfast in the restaurant was also particularly nice. Although in an excellent (& beautiful) location for walking all around Geneva there was noise from the street on the Saturday night until about 2am.

“It was clean, friendly and comfortable, and located in the right place. A short walk from the station, literally 5 mins if that, straight out of the station doors and 200 mts along a right hand turn and you were there, that's why I chose to stay here. Leave the hotel by the side door and through a small shopping arcade and you were on the river. Excellent.” John, Stoke On Trent |
