Les Portes du Soleil is one of the largest ski areas in the world. It is located in the Alps, between Mont Blanc in France and Lake Geneva in Switzerland, just 1 hour from Geneva International Airport.

This region includes the 8 French ski resorts of Abondance, Avoriaz, Châtel, La Chapelle d'Abondance, Les Gets, Montriond, Morzine and Saint-Jean-d’Aulps. There are also 5 Swiss resorts: Champéry, Morgins, Val d’Illiez, Les Crosets and Champoussin.

Well-linked by road and slopes, some of the resorts are picturesque towns with pretty chalets, while some have more modern buildings. In the region you will also find 10 snow parks and 90 on-slope restaurants. Summer activities include hiking and mountain biking.

J'arrive +- à 160points = 1étoile et ceci avec certain point minimum non respecté !!!!! Pourquoi proposé un hotel aussi lamentable ?!? -Check-in / Check-out: acceuil lamentable / aucune explications sur l'hotel / Tentative de faire payer cash au lieu de Visa au Check-out -Service bar: aucune envie de servir le client / atmosphere désagréable (personnel qui se dispute continuellement) / table non débarrasé durant plusieurs heures / personnel met la table du restaurant assis ?!? / personnel mange au millieu du lobby ?!? -Restaurant: Personnel ne connait pas la composition de leur plats / aucune carte des vins !!!! Serge Mature couple Knokke-Heist, Belgium September 3, 2012	Een beoordeling is zeer MOEILIJK.We kozen het hotel als tussenstop naar verblijf in appartement in Firenze.We waren de enige gasten en ook de laatste.Na ons werd het hotel tijdelijk gesloten .De huidige uitbaters hebben een ander project en locatie gekozen. Echter zeer vriendelijke uitbaters (koppel met twee kinderen)bijna huislijk onthaal. Zeer ruime en zeer propere kamer,géén TV,géén minibar,géén verwarming(kamer was niet koud wegens zeer goede isolatie) Zeer goed en ruim bed en lekker ontbijt s'morgens. Ontbijt was prima. Door het feit dat we de enige klanten waren was er ook geen restauratie meer buiten een kaasfondu (die we genomen hebben) een broodjes of een "steak".prijzen voor drank en fondu zoals in een klassezaak (44 fs voor de kaasfondu ,zonder garnituur (geen uitjes noch augurkjes) 40 Fs voor de wijn 7 Fs voor 3/4 water. Anonymous Young couple Switzerland January 8, 2013	Das Hotel hat beste Lage direkt am Lift. Personal sehr freundlich. Ein sehr renovierungsbedürftiges Hotel von aussen wie auch von innen. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und sauber dennoch kein TV vorhanden, die Minibar abgeschlossen und ausgesteckt. Die Sauna sehr gross (12 Personen) keine Ruhemöglichkeit Liegen/Stühle vorhanden ich musste auf dem Boden sitzen die Sanitären Anlagen ein Horror! die Preise z.T. unverschämt -->eine kleine Tasse Kakao mit Rum stolze 10 Sfr. das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr überschaubar ganze 2m lang. Das alle wäre gar kein Problem weil ich eigentlich eher anspruchslos bin WENN ich nicht für 2 Nächte/2 Personen 560 Sfr.und das ist echt eine Frechheit für so eine runtergekommene Baracke.
