La cortesia del personale, la pulizia della camera, l'ordine in generale e la struttura ben curata nei particolari, sia le camere che le zone comuni.Inoltre la posizione è ottima, con una bella vista sul lago ed il centro città. Il fatto che non danno indicazioni a priori sul parcheggio.Il cliente deve lasciare l'auto al di fuori della zona a traffico limitato e dirigersi a piedi presso l'hotel per ricevere indicazioni per il parcheggio.Anche se il servizio parcheggio dell'hotel è ottimo. |

very good location. I booked for a city view and I got a lake view room! internet for free. Good not to have moquette on the floor but wood to get into the hotel you have a few steps to do and if you have an heavy luggage it is really painful |

The easy way to go arond within the city and the ambience the way in with the car which has been quite a challenge. More information should be given to the customers beforehand on the subject |

The location was great and the staff friendly We thought the breakfast was included until we were charged $54...they should tell you upon check in that there is a fee for breakfast. |

The restaurant was superb, and dining outdoors on the river-front terrace was unforgetable. Our room (504) was small. |

Fantastic location in City centre. Marvellous staff. Marvellous food and riverside dining. Noise from the street in the City facing rooms. Always book a river side room. Hot in the night as no air con available in our room |

We loved the view from our balconies over the river towards the church, it was very relaxing. Tea and coffee machine in the room was pretty hopeless and the cups were little more than thimbles - a minor grumble. |

Hotel des Balances is a beautiful hotel, perfectly located in Lucerne for seeing everything. Great restaurant, amazing views of the city, the old bridge and water tower, River Reuss, and Mt Pilatus. Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. Terrific place to see Lucerne. If the weather is even remotely warm, the rooms may prove uncomfortable. This is true throughout Europe. I knew this and requested (and received) an air conditioned room. The ac was not always adequate and this is with 75 degree f temps outside! The top floor has ac and would be unusable without ac since it is in effect the attic of the hotel. The ac struggles to keep up. |
