We enjoyed having dinner in their dining room. The staff was courteous and attentive to our needs. Very impressed by their tri lingual abilities. Our room on the 5th floor had a wonderful view of the river and all of the activity going on in Lucerne on a Saturday evening. Beautifully appointed room, spacious and comfortable. Great location in the old town and walking distance to the Banhoff station.

How to reach to the hotel in addition their breakfast

Great location right on the river. The view is spectacular. The rooms were small but modern and luxurious.

The valet parking scraped the bumper and we didn't notice it until our next stop in Germany. It would have been nice if they had mentioned the damage to us. Getting to the actual hotel is awkward as you have to drive on streets filled with pedestrians.

The restaurant at Hotel des Balances is absolutely superb -- creative, delicious, unique, with excellent wine pairings and high quality service. We tried the tasting menu one night and ate a la carte the next night. Service was top quality as well. This hotel has a wonderful location on the water with beautiful views. We upgraded to a suite, which was worth the extra price. Staff is very friendly and understands how to provide a luxury experience.

We had to leave after 3 days. Also, main salon was being renovated and unavailable. Some construction in the front foyer, which would have been nice to know of in advance.

The staff were very friendly and very helpful. The room was well decorated and comfortable. We had the five course meal in the hotel resturant in the evening and it was very good. The reason for the mini break was to celebrate a 30th Birthday and the hotel excelled at the pre- arrangments that had been organised like a birthday cake and champagne in the room. The breakfast was good and there was plenty of choice. We would recommend this hotel and would cetainly go back again.

This is a very wonderful hotel! The stuff there is truly friendly and also very helpful! And the most wonderful part is the view from the room. So amazing!

Style, staff, views, location

Excellent location - 5-7 minutes by walk from railway station, professional friendly staff, fabulous views on the river and Alpes from the room with river-view option, modern design room.

The staff was amazing. We were greeted very nicely and given alot of useful information about the town. Very nice to have a complimentary drink after a long day traveling! Rooms very nice, not once were we interupted by cleaning staff, but when we returned to our room it seemed as if everything was checked up on. Excellent place and location. We were traveling by train and it was just a few minutes walk, easy to find.
