The location on the shore of Lake Constance/Rhine River was superb. The village of Gottlieben is charming. The venue was quiet and relaxing. The building itself was historical and charming. The management and staff were very helpful to some of special requests. Parking in the small village, a seeming impossibility, was no problem.

Our room was ordinary and the bath was small and old-fashioned. To be fair, however, we were cautioned when booking that the room hadn't been renovated for a while and was therefore more affordable. The restaurant was pretentious, the food was adequate, but the prices in the restaurant were very steep for what we got.

The service and food on our first morning breakfast was extraordinarily special. The waitress - Roman - was elegant, the food was spectacular, it was relaxing and we felt spectacular. Oddly enough, our other two days, the owner and chef waited on us. The food was much inferior - poorer presentation, sloppy service, with the attitude of "why are you bothering us - we are busy people." This is exactly the opposite feeling one should get at a vacation spot, especially with these prices. This was for us a splurge and the owner made us feel terrible. It reached its most awful point on the last day: we were in the front room. We were not warned of a party outside our room when we booked. The party goers were very loud and noisy, with musical instruments and loud drunk singing until 1:00 am. Just outside our window. We were set to fly back to the us the next day and were eager for a quite last evening and a good night of sleep. We asked someone at the front desk to wake us at 7:15 am and then arrange for us to have a small breakfast of coffee before leaving. He told us we were set. The next morning, we did not get our wakeup call and when I went to the front desk upset by 8:00 am, the owner said we could not have our planned breakfast because we were too late! I had to protest and he finally relented. This was a terrible way to end our vacation and a terrible way to be treated, especially after we were kept up all night by an affair that netted him a lot of money and us a sleepless night. Though a beautiful location, I would recommend people stay away from this location. The owner needs to learn lessons about politely treating all his guests and accommodating his business needs to the needs of people staying at the hotel. It was a terrible ending that made the price in the end not worth it.

The hotel is in a lovely old building right by the side of the Rhine with a nice terrace for meals and relaxing. The staff were great and the breakfast and dinner were terrific.

Bike loan could have been thrown in given the room price. A proper lounge would be good, too.

Excelent boutique design hotel by the lake. Very good rooms and bathrooms.

Tasty aperitifs before main meal at dinner. The main course was not very tasty, both fish and a meat dish.

It's a cute and sweet hotel, in the quite area on the dock. Each morning you're waking up with the wish of visiting local region, enjoying calm walking and fresh air! The design is unordinary- implemented oh historic style, which makes this hotel cozy and comfortable. Friendly and sociable staff. Looking forward to come back there again sometime!

The quality of their restaurant food was not to standard and over priced.

Die Lage des Hauses und vor allem der Ort - sehr romantisch. Sauberes Zimmer. Gottlieben ist immer eine Reise wert. Für Zigarrenliebhaber: Es gibt ein Raucherzimmer. Im Sommer findet man eine wunderschöne Terrasse auf den Rhein.

Das Personal ist nicht hinreichend geschult bzw. nicht aus der Branche oder nicht mit den schweizerischen Gepflogenheiten vertraut. Gepäck muss selber hochgeschleppt werden bzw. im zu kleinen Aufzug verstaut werden. Parkplatzsituation ungenügend. Preise für Essen zu hoch. Der stets nachschenkende Ober ist laufend präsent, scheint folgl. bzgl. Konsum gut geschult zu sein. Zum Zimmerdesign: Stylisch bedeutet nicht immer praktisch und verbrauchsbezogen überlegt (fehlende Ablage im Bad, fehlende Beleuchtung im Schrankbereich, wie kann man Schuhe putzen? vielleicht Maschine übersehen... oder es gehört halt ein entsprechendes Set ins Zimmer). Mit etwas Idee könnte man viel mehr machen. Die Frühstücksdame ist dahin zu belehren, dass ein Café Crème kein Kaffee mit Milch ist (in D vielleicht, aber nicht in CH).

Hotel con una decoración y ubicación muy buenos. Habitación correcta. Parking gratuito en la puerta o alrededores.

Le service et le personnel ont été excellents. L'ascenseur est parfait pour les personnes à mobilité réduite.

Sehr nah an Konstanz, wunderschön am Rhein gelegen, witzig gestaltete Zimmer, netter Service, unkompliziert, persönlich, hilfsbereit.

Badezimmer so lala, aber sauber.

Das Hotel ist hübsch und stilvoll hergerichtet und renoviert, das Personal freundlich und zurückhaltend. Das Frühstücksbuffet wunderbar mit Blick auf den See - schön.

Das Wetter - Dauerregen. Die Lüftung funktionierte nicht im Wc. Der Fernseher flackerte, - würde mir auch sonst nicht auffallen aber bei Dauerregen...

Herr Lüthy und das Personal sehr freundlich. Man fühlt sich wohl in diesem Haus.
