The view from the hotel
1. No Service: The staff does not interact with the guests. We arrived and found a post-it on the door of reception, pointing us to our room. That was the welcoming part. And when we wanted to check out, again we couldn't find anyone despite that we called the cell-phone of the personnel twice (due to constant absency of the staff, they post their phone numbers on the wall :) but no answer. Instead we found our bill on a random table. Hence we understood that was the 'check-out style' of this hotel: leaving the bill and hoping that the guest will find it. 2. Uncomforable room: We booked a double bedroom, but we got two twin beds next to each other. Needless to say, it was quite uncomfortable to sleep with the fear that the bed may fall apart! 3. Lack of adequate room description on booking.com: We booked a lake-view room and the hotel said all rooms have lake view. It turns out 80% of the view you get is the building in front. Only 20% the lake view and you need to bend left/right for that. 4. Poor room facilities: No bottled water in the room. Yes, it's a self catering hotel but edible water is a basic human need and the hotel is located far from any grocery store to get that on your own. If the tap water is OK to drink, then there should be a notification for that. Plus, when the room was cleaned the next day, towels were not renewed. This is the first time I see a hotel not renewing used towels. 5. A disastrous breakfast: The hotel charges an extra CHF15/person for breakfast and in the end we got an indoor table (despite the lovely view outside!) where there was a business meeting in the very same room! So we had our quiet breakfast in the middle of a meeting :) The table was set with dirty bowl and no fork. So you need to ask for all the missing items one by one. Sum up: a very lovely village to enjoy nature and gorgeous view, but do pick another hotel with some care to guests.
Thanks Anne for the friendly reception and also for the complimentary bottle of wine. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and loved having dinner on the lawn where we could enjoy the amazing view of Lake Geneva
Niks / nothing / Nada
We stayed in the suite on the first floor of the main house and had fabulous views of Lake Geneva. The wine they make on-site is wonderful and we enjoyed many bottles while we were there. Anne is extremely accommodating and took care of our every request. We also highly recommend the Michelin star restaurant in St. Saphorin as well as the Cafe du Raisin (their perch is fabulous).
The climb from the village up to the B&B is pretty steep so plan your footwear accordingly.
Perfect view! We wanted to stay longer...
Very friendly staff. We arrived early but the staff quickly cleaned up the room for us. Everything is neat and comfortable, beautiful view of the vineyard and Lac Leman
Nothing if you drive a car.
Wonderful view and excellent staff. Anne is a very nice lady. Thank you for the cellar tour and everything. We highly recommend Domaine du Burignon.
What a view! Very kind welcoming relaxed staff and excellent quiet spot. Couldn't have asked for anything better for a weekend in this beautiful region. Be prepared for a little uphill workout on your way from the train :)
The location was great with beautiful vinyards all around, and the hostess was really helpful and friendly!
We thought it was slightly misadvertised, with the room not completely what we expected.
We had very nice and comfortable stay. The view of Lac Leman and mountains from the room was wonderful! We loved the stay there. We enjoyed walking through the vineyard around. At night, we could see the starry sky very clearly. The room was large, beautiful and very clean. The owner was very kind and she had been very helpful for us. I would like to stay there again and wished if I could have a longer stay.
view is excellent, i shall stay there for one for two more nights. Anne is very nice too, she gave us a map and explained a lot about where to visit/have dinner. Her advice helped us a lot. Room is clean, our family love here and enjoyed it quite a lot!
Absolutely fabulous! :)
Strange as it sound sometimes there's nothing to complain about!!
Super location, Just besides the lake, surounded by vineyard. Host is the family of the vineyard. Even get a wine from the yard as gift.
The address was not proper, GPS will direct you through crazy roads to it. Please check with the host how to arrive it before go
Friendly, helpful, knowledgable staff. Magnificent location and view in the midst of the Lavaux vineyards and next to the beautiful village of St. Saphorin. I can't imagine a better travel experience.
Fabulous location, the scenery was unbelievable. Anne was a great hostess, very welcoming... The 2 bedroom apartment was perfect for our needs especially with it's well equipped kitchen.
Nothing as we didn't want to leave!!
room. suppose to be family run? No such feeling, The lady showed us our room, gave the key, and gone.very minimal interaction with guests.
I wish I could live here !
Very comfortable beds. Amazing view. Beautiful, historical building. Very friendly staff. Perfect Restaurant suggestions. Simply a perfect stay.
Fantastic locale, unique
Everything ! It is an adorable place with some magnificent views. Very silent and peaceful.
Stunning view, lovely light rooms. Walk in wardrobe was perfect for a baby cot as well!
No curtains in walk in wardrobe, a very minor complaint.
Very clean and comfortable, small kitchen has all you need to make cook. Beautiful lake view. Anne gave us discount cards. is really good value for money.
All is perfect, thank you!
For me it was a pleasure to have this accomodation, because I have a good feeling like my home castle and a the best look at the lake. When I'll come back to this area, I would pefer the rent the flat again.
everything is perfect!
