Where to start? He refused to open the door to the portion of our group who turned up later, at the exact time we told him they would arrive. We were out working until 5am, which we told him, so we couldn't let them in. After my friends had to wait in their car for 3 hours, I finally got through to Dr Tempelman, who cursed at them as he let them in. The room is advertised as sleeping 10 people, but he had not made up the 4th bedroom. We told him straight away that there would be 6 of us and he asked if we'd like the other beds made up. We said yes, but he never did, yet rang the doorbell at 8, 9, and 10am on both mornings, despite us telling him we were working until 5am each night, to tell us he would be charging us (a lot) extra for the 6th person (whose bed was never made up), or telling/asking us other mundane things.
The apartment itself could have been quite good, the draw being that there was space for so many people and that we could use the kitchen to prepare food. There was no cutlery in the kitchen whatsoever! Every other weird little thing you could imagine, but not one fork, and just one of the world's bluntest knives, and a wooden spoon. Not great for cooking or eating with.
The wifi was weak and only worked in one room.
Next time we'll definitely pay a little more and stay somewhere without the several hidden charges, where we can actually use the facilities advertised and won't have our precious few hours of sleep disturbed.
The location was great for Jungfrau Park, which was what my friends and I were in Interlaken for. The view from the window was beautiful, and there was lots of space for several people.
