Hôtel du CerfGrand Rue, 1863 Le Sépey (Show map) Excellent, Score from 57 reviews“In a tiny peaceful mountain village with very beautiful old chalets. The general ambience and the staff were super. The hotel was spacious and well decorated. The rooms were to a high standard and the staff were welcoming and friendly. The hotel was a little expensive for what you got and was a bit out of the way. Le Sepey is a small place and offers nothing after dark, which means you will always have to drive to neighbouring towns to eat out.

Nice room and bath;. Newly remodeled rooms. Pet friendly. Plenty of onsite parking. Most staff speaks English or limited English. Although visiting in summer, noticed ski runs are nearby (5-10 minute drive). A sitting room with a fireplace on the second floor would be a nice place to relax after a day of skiing. Would recommend the hotel primarily due to the location; the drive thru the countryside is lovely and worth experiencing. However, because it is so expensive, would not return again and probably would not recommend the hotel to others unless they knew it would be a very expensive visit. Extremely expensive room, food, drink. Very costly dinner. Menu only in French (no other translations). The room price included breakfast, but for the prices charged, more substantial breakfast choices should be provided. Breakfast is brought to your table and extremely limited (small processed cheese, cube of guyres cheese, small juice, processed yogurt cup, coffee, breads). No fruit, meats, other cheeses, egg, cereal. If another restaurant is open with less expensive prices, go there instead. Due to high prices, not a place for a large family. No fan in room; to cool off the room, had to open windows which meant a lot of road noise until midnight.

Landlady and staff very friendly and welcoming. Hotel and the spacious room are clean and tidy in the classic swiss style. Lovely location in Swiss Alps just 8 miles from Aigle and motorway. Last but not least the restaurant with a nice traditional menu. I choosed cheese fondue and rosti and either were delicious. I really recommend this hotel to everybody.

The cleanliness and freshness of the rooms. The extremely freindly and helpful staff. The old and tranquil mountain village where it is located. Unfortunately, the radio in the bistro, however this is difficult to avoid these days. To be fair, we found it in any other tea room or bistro.

In a tiny peaceful mountain village with very beautiful old chalets. The general ambience and the staff were super. Our room was in a new extension which was very sympathetically built with a smooth transition from the original bldg. Our room (16) was on two levels and the bed was of mega size. The ubiquitous woodwork was beautifully finished. Bathroom was pristine with large towels. Dinner was excellent and breakfast very generous and animated with a steady stream of local workers. You could not improve on this hotel

We all received excellent new rooms which could more accurately be described as suites. An excellent evening meal with a lively atmosphere and a band playing the night we stayed! I managed to leave some clothing behind which was very kindly returned by post to the UK - completely unsolicited.

Lovely newly refurbished room (No. 21); a good sized sitting area with the bed on a mezzanine; quality bathroom; excellent food in the restaurant. Free parking. Quiet - fantastic night sky. Lively 'locals' in the bar - typical french/swiss - dropped in, drank and chatted, moved on, nothing rowdy just simple and relaxed. Wall sockets need the 'diamond shaped' two pin plugs for your phone charger etc. - so my travel adaptors were no use. Very warm in the room even though I put the radiator on minimum - of course, others would love this about the room! No satellite on the TV (yet? It all seemed very new) which would be a good thing if my kids were with me [they'd not be stuck in front of it] but a bad thing as I was on my own on this occasion! But these are very trivial matters and I didn't 'dislike' them as such, I'm simply mentioning them.
