Great location, beautiful view, good kitchen.

Poor small room with an awful view and noise, which costs 350 Euro per night it is really unnormal!!!

I have travelled the world for the past 50 years, staying at the best hotels. I read a report about Hotel au Lac that was less than complimetary, which provoked me to try it (suspecting a decent Swiss hotel should not justify such criticism!) As I was to stay only one night, it would not matter too much if the report was justified. As it turned out, my guess was correct. I assume the author was looking for 'glass and chrome, with Ikea furniture'! If so, he would have been disappointed - it is 'traditional', but a good example of Swiss perfection, in the old style. What has prompted me to write this note was the exceptionally good service by the staff. My stay was on 1st January, when much of Europe had shut down. The guests at the hotel were few. That can lead to laxity by the staff in some cases. But, on the contrary, I was most impressed! The only time I have known better service was the immaculate performane of the Mandarin, Hong kong more than 30 years ago! That is some compliment.... The location is good - overlooking the Lake. Car parking for my friend was easy. All the necessary services were provided - and I can honestly say the staff made the visit memorable.

Nothing worthy of complaint - and I am a stern critic of hotels!

Not having too many rooms this hotel offer an exceptional and personalized service. It make you feel very welcome and "home". The staff is as friendly as professional.

No flat screen tv.

The hotel provides a great old style ambiance with excellent service. I booked a single room and was surprised about the size of the bed, room and the bathroom. Often single rooms are very small. The staff is very professional and friendly. The hotel is in a high price category but that is justified for the service and facilities you get. I loved the bar with the piano music and roof terras.

The hotel is at a main road and with the windows open, there is a lot of noise, even though I had a room at the back. When using the airco, which doesn't make any noise and closing the windows, the level of traffic noise is acceptable (at the back).

The staff was nice but the hotel is not.

The hotel needs a lot of renovation. The room are old and not renovated. Also, for the price they charge, we can find much better anywhere else. We expected to have a spiffy hotel with charm at that price. Quite disappointing.

Nos ha parecido de una excelente calidad, precioso, una extraordinaria atención del personal, con un trato exquisito y situación privilegiada, una habitaciones, con vistas al lago, maravillosas, ademas de limpio y bien cuidado.En resumen, una estancia dificil de olvidar y estaremos siempre dispuestos a repetir.

Es un poquito caro y nos parece que en el Brunch, deberia estar todo lo que se toma incluido en el precio, sin excepciones, ni de bebidas ni de nada, pero es una tonteria que puede servir para mejorar, en absoluto es una queja. El resto es de sobresaliente

Position was great and lovely view from our room

Very expensive afternoon tea and the plate of cakes were served after we have finished out pots of tea!! The also charged a fairly high rate for a late checkout although the hotel had very few guests - not even half full!

La situation face au lac est superbe. Avec le soleil, on se croirait sur la promenade des anglais à Nice! L'insonorisation est bonne malgré la circulation assez abondante.

L'ensemble est un peu vieillot et manque d'accompagnement des évolutions de confort et de technologie "élémentaire" (équipement de la salle de bain pas au top , télé encombrante très vieux modèle et de piètre qualité). Le buffet "petit déjeuner" est loin d'être à la hauteur pour le prix demandé. Peu de choix, mets pas très appétissants. Rapport qualité prix médiocre à cet égard!
