Hotel Eiger    

The staff - especially reception were very friendly and helpful. So too were the breakfast staff and the cleaning staff. The breakfasts were delicious. Expresso coffee in the room was a treat. I had a quiet room, warm and comfortable with a lovely view. Perfect and just what I had asked for. Despite the distance from NZ I want to go back there and am planning to do so..

-Fabulous location with stunning views of the mountains from the balcony of our "deluxe" room in the main building. -The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the train station, which makes it easy to get to the Jungfraujoch/Top of Europe. -Breakfast was very good -- lots of choices. -Dinner at "Memories" restaurant was reasonably- priced for the area. The other restaurant was very pricey. -The on-site spa was wonderful -- except for the hours. There are two saunas (warm and very hot), a steam room, a cold plunge, nice rain showers, and two meditation/relaxation rooms. -Everything was extremely clean. -The hotel includes several free items in the mini-bar, which gets restocked daily. -The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

-Spa hours are very limited (16:00 to 21:00 while we were there), which was disappointing. Also, there is no on-site swimming pool or whirlpool. The hotel gives you a discount to use the nice indoor pool at a nearby hotel: 8f per person (vs. The standard rate of 10f). -WiFi is only reliable in the lobby, although I think there was a hard-wired Ethernet port for laptops in the room (if you bring a cable with you).

The staff were exceptionally helpful and the hotel itself both well situated and well appointed. Extra like drinks on arrival and departure, as well as daily coffee and cake in the mid-afternoon were lovely treats.

The hotel staff was excellent. They were very helpful. The food was delicious for the breakfast buffet and dinner. The room was clean and roomy, especially since there were three of us and our dog staying in one room. Would stay there again upon return.

No heaters for ski boots overnight - bit surprising at hotel of this quality

Sauna world, food, facilities, sight...

Cold corridors, labyrinth, but all in all it was very good. These are only minor "dislikes".

Beds a little soft for my liking

Great location, with shops, train and restaurants next door. Also the staff were really friendly and knowledgeable, nice coffee machine in the room and good internet.

The "Selfness" center has a great gym and sauna area. Very well-maintained and appointed. Great staff. Good massage. The Staff is very friendly, helpful, and well-trained. The breakfast is also very good. The free WiFi was also very good to have. Worked best in the spa where one could sit with a computer in the sofa area.

The rooms were nice but a little old for the money - could have used some paint in spots and the baths in the separate apartments were really old, but everything worked and was clean. The biggest change I would reacommend would be to have shampoo in the rooms, as well as a bath gel. Given that the spa is so nice, I expected better in the room baths.

The staff were outstanding from the receptioist to the waitresses in the restaurant which incidentally was excellent. We had a lovely room on the 4th. Floor with a balcony looking up to the mountains. The location is excellent in the village and only five or six minutes to the railway station. We strongly recommend the Eiger.

The gym facilities are much better than advertised.

The staff is really nice, very receptive. The room with the Alps/mountain view is really amazing! Very good room although I missed a bathtub.

The swimming pool isn't inside the hotel and if you want to use the Sauna you need to go naked, no exceptions. The Sports center where you have the swimming pool is very nice though large enough to splash around or swimming if you like.

Staff sets this place apart from others in area, wellness area is of higher standard than other hotels

spacious rooms and very nice balconies, quiet, even though been situated on the main street of Grindenwald.

Three star facilities at five star plus prices

I had stayed at a Comfortable Double Room - very modern, clean and comfortable. The staff is very attentive, and we enjoyed the nice breakfast. I would love to stay at this hotel again.

Two things that I didn't liked. - The laundry place is mixed with the toilet and the shower room, so I couldn't do the laundry when someone else (especially the opposite sex) was using the toilet! The laundry hours could also be extended to late hours. - I know everyone gets up early in Grindelwalt, but the closing time at the gym (8PM?) is too early to enjoy the night.

Too big for our taste

It was perfect , one of the best hotels in Grindelwald , the best part was the hospitality offered by the eiger team , The Receiption staff was very courteous and best in all the hotels that we stayed in our 2 weeks holiday in europe.

Very accommodating and friendly staff... The "selfness center" features a fitness and a naturist sauna area, including a Finnish sauna, an herb scented sauna, a Turkish bath... which can all be privatized for a fee between 9am and 4pm. Delightful place to spend a couple of days in a romantic setting.

Good access from Grindelwald Station, good people, and good atmosphere.

It was not a hotel problem, but during our stay we had a regional blackout for one day long due to stormy weather, so we decided to check out 1 day earlier.

All staffs were very kind and the room we stayed were wonderful. The restaurant which we had breakfast was lovely and the dishes were so delicious. We hope to come back again soon and we would like to stay at your hotel longer next time. Thank you very much for everything!
