Hotel Elite is close to Zermatt's train station, the Gornergrat cable car station and the Sunnegga express cable car. The ski bus to the Klein Matterhorn area is 2 minutes away. All rooms have a balcony and some offer panoramic views of the impressive Matterhorn mountain in the midst of the Matterhorn Ski Paradise. The Elite's Country Bar with a pool table and darts is an inviting place to relax after a day out in the mountains around Zermatt. Central, clean, nice facilities, eggs to order at breakfast and good bang for the buck. Beware, the Italian building manager is a dodgy fellow, trying to make new, English-speaking guests pay for past repairs on their rooms without sufficient proof, not to mention he was extremely rude. The rest of the staff including the owner, receptionist and breakfast helper were excellent. Just be careful to check that everything is in order upon arrival in your room and watch out for the building manager. Otherwise, they could upgrade the TVs in the double rooms.

We went to Zermatt for 3 days to visit friends who were staying in the centre of the town in a very expensive hotel. We wanted to be near them and the Elite Hotel was perfect. Only a few 100 yds away. We were greeted warmly, the room was clean and well furnished and the en suite bathroom was perfect. We even had a little south facing balcony. An excellent buffet breakfast was included. My husband broke his collar bone skiing and the receptionist arranged doctors, taxis etc. for us. Thank you, Hotel Elite Only the ski room. Nowhere to sit down !

The location is nice. Very close to the main street, and Migros (supermarket) is just next to the hotel. It was so convenient. The staff of the reception desk always smiles, and very kind. She also provided me discount coupon for ski rental. I made reservation of single room, but they gave me double room because they didn't have empty single room. Breakfast selection is little bit poor. Sink is 'in' the room, not in bathroom.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Elite. The price was reasonable and I was very happy that I stayed there. The hotel is walking distance from the Zermatt train station and is right next to the charming shops and restaurants in Zermatt. My room had a view of the mountains and was comfortable and clean. The hotel manager, Frau Grand, helped me to arrange ski rental and explained the places to ski in Zermatt. The hotel staff was helpful and friendly and made my stay very pleasant.

We got a good rate at this hotel and didn't expect much of it. But the hotel is located on a prime location. The sauna was good. If you want to sleep in you might experience some noise of all the people going skiing (heavy boots).

Close to the train station and the supermarket migros. Nice staff at breakfast room and reception. Could not enjoy the view of Matterhorn from the balcony although it faces south; the view is somehow blocked by a tall tree, and a building in the front. Not hot enough water in the shower.

The bed was excellent, I slept wonderfully. Very friendly staff and great breakfast buffet. The walls are thin between the rooms, one can hear the voices next door.

The location was phenomenal and the staff very helpful in planning our ski day. The beds were quite hard and the heating system we were not able to control from our room and it was too hot.

Die Lage war sehr ruhig. Der Schlafraum einfach, aber gut eingerichtget. Das Frühstück war sehr ergiebig. Wir würden dieses Hotel wieder berücksichtigen.

Rummet var fint och välstädat. Belägenheten central. Personalen var svår att få kontakt med då de så sällan fanns i receptionen. Ej heller så vänliga och intresserade av oss som gäster.
