“ The lake view from the room balcony was simply breathtaking. The hotel is located in a really lovely and quiet location, away from the noise and crowds of the city. The woman caretaker of the hotel was absolutely fantastic during breakfast and made sure we were well taken care of. She was a really great person! And very welcoming...always with a big smile. We really enjoyed our stay and will be coming back soon! ”

Built in typical Ticino style, Elvezia al Lago enjoys an idyllic location right at the banks of Lake Lugano between Castagnola and Gandria. Each room has a lake-view balcony. The Elvezia al Lago Ship Pier is right in front of the building. Featuring antique pieces of furniture, all rooms are spacious and bright. They come with a private bathroom, a TV and free Wi-Fi internet access. A buffet breakfast is served every morning and the restaurant serves typical Ticino specialities and its well known ring cake according to a traditional recipe. You can easily reach Castagnola and Gandria on foot via the lakeside promenade within 10 to 15 minutes from Elvezia al Lago. Car parking spaces are a 7-minute walk away. Within a 20-minute walk you can reach the San Domenico Bus Stop and from there, a bus takes you to Lugano in 10 minutes. The lake view from the room balcony was simply breathtaking. The hotel is located in a really lovely and quiet location, away from the noise and crowds of the city. The woman caretaker of the hotel was absolutely fantastic during breakfast and made sure we were well taken care of. She was a really great person! And very welcoming...always with a big smile. We really enjoyed our stay and will be coming back soon! The location was a bit hard to find in the dark but we came really late in the evening.

The hotel is right by Lugano lake and the place is very very beautiful. Every room faces the lake and you can sit on the balcony and enjoy the view. Italy is right across the water.The place is decorated with a lot of paintings which is interesting to see. It's a very clean family owned hotel and the landlady is very friendly and helpful. Nearby town Gandria is only 15 minutes away and I would strongly recommend a visit there. You need to bring your own adaptor. I asked the lady for an adaptor and she brought me two quickly but unfortunately none of them works. Perhaps the place is a little bit hard to find when you first arrives. You can either take a taxi or take ferry from Lugano.

Las vistas al lago. Su situación, no está bien señalizado, y que el domingo noche la cocina del hotel cierra y el hotel se encuentra muy alejado de la zona civilizada, no hay un restaurante o cafeteria o supermercado cerca.

Super gelegen,direkt am See und sehr ruhig.. Essen war sehr gut und absolut freundliche Bedienung.. Komme bestimmt wieder.. ca.10min zu Fuss vom Parkplatz zum Hotel..

Die Seesicht und der kleiner Privatstrand. Die sehr freundliche Rosie als Gastgeberin. Die Rückfahrt mit dem Boot zum Parkplatz. Der Hinweg vom Parkplatz zum Hotel zu Fuss mit Gepäck.

Der Aufenthalt war super, die Lage direkt am See - einmalig. Ruhig, wunderschöne Natur, kein Autolärm, sehr familiäres Hotel mit freundlichem Service. Insbesondere Rosie, die Seele des Hauses ist super nett. Wir kommen sicher wieder! Kleiner Badeplatz, am Abend das Schwimmen im See - ein Genuss!

Die Lage. Der freundliche Empfang Das Frühstücksbuffet : Qualität und Reichhaltigkeit hat gegenüber früheren Jahren merklich abgenommen. Das Eßen von der Karte : konkret waren das Fischfilet (winzige Fischstücke mit sehr dicker Panierschicht) und der gemischte Salat ungenießbar und unverschämt teuer.

Location: perfectly placed directly on the lakeside. Room was clean and comfortable There is a ten minute walk from car park to hotel along a bumpy and hilly gravel path. Hotel has a luggage trolley but it is not offered for use of guests! We had to carry our own cases all the way, there and back. Food in restaurant was of mediocre quality and expensive.

Die Aussicht auf den See und die Ruhe ist super. Die Zimmer sind geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Der Aufenthalt im Hotel Elvezia al Lago war wunderschön und wir waren bestimmt nicht das letzte Mal da.

Beautiful location on the shore of the lake, quiet and peaceful. Friendly staff. It was difficult to find to the hotel. The hotel is only accessible by foot. You have to park the car on a public parking and continue the search of the hotel by foot on a little path of ca. 1 km on the border of the lake. Luckily a local could tell us how to find it because we didn't receive any directions when booking. Beautiful and pittoresk but not easy with the luggage of a summer holiday or if your not in a good shape :)... (The room didn't have air conditioning, only in the corridor had?!)

Die Lage ist sehr schön, die Mitarbeiter freundlich und zuvorkommend. Man kann wunderbar auf der Terasse frühstücken wenn das Wetter es zulässt. Das Essen im Restaurant abends ist mittelmässig.

La situation géographique, totalement au bord de l'eau. L'accès ne peut se faire qu'à pied, donc pas de bruit de véhicule. La petite plage pour se baigner dans le lac est très sympa et la terrasse du restaurant est très jolie, avec une vue juste magnifique sur le lac. Le personnel est très gentil. Le prix du restaurant, un peu cher. La décoration des chambres et de l'hôtel, un peu viellotte.

La situation géographique La chambre était digne d'un Formule 1, Seche cheveux digne des années 70. Le prix est exhorbitant pour la prestation. Seule la vue de la chambre était belle, mais le balcon si petit qu'on tient à peine à deux dessus. Pas d'ascenseur, une marche de 15' sans aide pour les bagages,... Le restaurant est à fuir. L'Osso Bocco, spécialité de la maison, datait d'au moins deux jours, légumes passés, pates réchauffées, c'etait absolument honteux. Le tout pour la modique somme de 29 francs le plat. En résumé, tant l'hotel que le restaurant sont du pur vol. A fuir.

L'hotel e'carino e in posizione molto suggestiva.la proprietaria e'stata disponibile e gentile ci e'venuta incontro per un disguido non dipeso da lei. L'arredamento interno andrebbe rimodernizzato...avevo prenotato la suite che e'presente sul sito di booking ma quando siamo arrivati non era disponibile in quanto il prezzo non e'quello riportato su booking e non viene prenotata tramite quest'ultimo.infatti ci e'stata assegnata la camera standard.il sito andrebbe aggiornato...
