Hotel Engel is right in the middle of Zofingen's old town and close to where I was racing Powerman Zofingen. I've stayed in Zofingen twice before so my expectations of Hotel Engel were high. The hotel is faultless and the staff are wonderful. Airlines lost my luggage for 6 days and I relied on the hotel's high-speed wi fi in my room to continually keep the airlines and my traveller insurer's emergency assistance service working to get my luggage. Breakfast is excellent and available early. On race day breakfast was even earlier to suit our needs and the hotel owner kindly provided towels after the race for us to clean our bikes before bringing them into the hotel. I've travelled to race 13 worlds championships around the world and the culture of Hotel Engel stands out from those of the many extremely good hotels I've stayed in.

This hotel was more than fine. The room and hotel was clean, staff was very friendly and the location was perfect. Breakfast was excellent and delicious. I could rate this hotel for 5 stars! :) The only bad thing was that I had to leave back home, I could have stayed there forever. Also Zofingen was very nice and safe.

The staff was really nice. I am trying to learn the language (German) but I appreciated the staff speaking English. I breakfast buffet was excellent and the young man taking care of the buffet was nice as well. The manager even showed me a double room in the event that I book for next year.

Es war total kalt im Zimmer. Beide Heizungen, Zimmer und Bad gehen sehr früh in die Nachtabsenkung. Ich habe noch nie in so einem kalten Bett geschlafen.

Sehr freundlicher Empfang, gutes Frühstücksbuffet, zentrale Lage Sehr kleine Zimmer, aber zweckmässig eingerichtet. Gut geeignet für eine oder wenige Übernachtungen, für Familien nicht zu empfehlen.

Hôtel agréable, personnel sympathique et la vieille-ville de Zofingen est absolument ravissante. L'appareil à faire des glaçons dans le couloir malheureusement juste à côté de ma chambre: du bruit toute la nuit ! Je l'ai signalé à l'hôtel qui veilleront à réduire cette nuisance. Eviter la chambre 220 !

Já conhecia o Hotel Engel de muito tempo atrás. Um hotel pequeno, em uma cidadezinha encantadora, bem no meio da cidade antiga. O hotel foi reformado e "atualizado", Os quartos são amplos, claros, muito limpos e agradáveis; os banheiros têm chuveiros modernos e secadores de cabelo. O café da manhã é exelente e o pessoal é atencioso e prestativo.

Unkompliziert, freundliches Personal, Leider nachts, ab 01.30 Uhr, bis 4.00 Uhr heftige Nachtruhestörungen durch betrunkene, gröhlende, und Feuerwerk zündende Nachtschwärmer in den benachbarten Gassen.....! Etwas sehr einfaches Frühstück-Buffet, teils mit kaputtem Inventar (z.B.: Fleischglocke war zersprungen,gespalten, Teile davon fehlten, Birchermüesli-Schüsselchen am Rand abgeschlagen, ebenso an kleinen Tellern, wenig Brot-Auswahl)

grosszügiges Zimmer, tadellose Sauberkeit, Supernasszelle, helles Licht, reichhaltiges Frühstück mit sehr netter Bedienung. Vorsicht bei An- und Abreise am Wochenende: Die Reception ist Samstag- und Sonntagnachmittag nicht bedient.

Habitacion muy amplia con cama de 1,20 metros, suelo enmoquetado y cuarto de baño muy amplio. Desayuno muy variado que incluye comida solida como fiambres: jamon, distintas variedades de queso, otros.
