Hotel Engel  

Nice place to stay. Near to railway and the rest of Switzerland.

There was very little I did not like. The hotel staff is very pleasant and helpful. I would stay there again.

No on premises lunch or dinner facilities.

My wife and I wanted to visit the Basel Watch & Jewelry Fair. All hotels in Basel were booked solid so we scouted for somewhere in the region. In the event Hotel Engel was the perfect choice: only forty minutes from the fair; clean; quiet; big rooms; excellent breakfast; and, as a bonus, in the heart of a lovely little preserved medieaval town.

Facilities other than lodging and breakfast are limited and no kettle or coffee pot is provided I the room. Otherwise no complaints.

It is a lovely and very cosy hotel very well located, next to station. Personal was very friendly. Very clean and relaxed. I really loved my staying there. And Zofingen is a charming small town, very nice for walkings. Can recommend to all who wants calm atmosphere and several days of peace!

I only can recommend more varify breakfast, anyway it was good and everything fresh

Location in "old town" Zofingen and proximity to the train station. It was also a stone's throw away from the Powerman race start/finish. The breakfast spread is really great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The free Wi-Fi is a nice touch (given how expensive most things are in Switzerland) and, while the rooms are on the smaller side, they are well kept and "do the trick". We would certainly stay there again.

Friendly Central Clean

Location is good, personnel is friendly and very helpful, breakfast is small but nice, rooms are clean.

I think that nowadays each hotel needs to ave an air-conditioning and a minibar. It was more than 30 degreed celcius outside during the day and you really need an airco... Another thing - there is no minibar at the hotel in the room, you need to go to the 2nd floor - there is a wending machine with the drinks but it only takes coins, and I had no coins, so ended up without the water for the rest of the night... Reception closes at 8pm, so there was no option to change the coins either

The hotel was small, yet comfortable. My room was right on the street. This hotel was perfect for me because I had some business with a company that is located about 5 minutes walking from there.

The breakfast was a little simple with not much variaty.

The staff was fantastic. Karon the receptionist was most helpful and made our stay very enjoyable.

Maybe the parking but this was in the heart of old town Zofigen.

Freundliches Personal. Alles war sehr sauber, ruhige Lage im Zentrum von Zofingen. Gutes Frühstück.

L'hôtel est situé en centre ville et à proximité des restaurants. Les chambres doubles sont très confortables et spacieuses. Petit déjeuner très complet

Les chambres coté rue sont un peu bruyantes. Parking sur une place à proximité et pas de lien avec l'Hôtel

モダンなのに何故か落ち着ける広い清潔な部屋に静かな環境

午前中に1時間ほど Don't disturb のサインを掛けておいたばかりに、部屋を整えてくれるタイミングをはずしてしまったようで、その後で午前1- 1時から夕方まで Make up please を掛けておいてもその日は部屋を整えてもらえませんでした。

Charmant hôtel très propre et très bien tenu, en plein centre de cette magnifique "vieille" petite ville qu'est Zofingue, elle aussi très bien entretenue. Chambres généreuses et très bien équipées. TV avec nombreuses chaînes internationales, Wifi, etc... Situation très calme et sans bruit. Beau buffet de petit déjeuner

Wenn Zofingen ganz klar Hotel Engel. Vom Empfang bis zur Verabschiedung einfach nur Top. Die Zimmer sind sehr preiswert und sauber. Nach einem harten Arbeitstag freut man sich "nach Hause" zukommen Sehr freundliches Team und zuvorkommend. Ein spezielles Highlight war das wir eine Nespresso Maschine auf dem Zimmer hatten. Wir bedanken uns beim ganzen Team für den gelungen Aufenthalt und werden bestimmt wieder kommen. Beste Grüsse

Das Hotel is sehr angenem, sehr sauber. Die Dekoration is modern. Die Betten sind sehr gut. Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig. Die Lage ist sehr gut, zentral gelegen. Das Personal ist super freundlich und das Frühstueck lässt keine Wünsche offen. Empfehlenswert.

1) Difficoltà di accesso il livello strada è separato dal portone d'ingresso da 6/7 scalini scomodo, specie per disabili; 2) la pubblicità dell'albergo diceva chiaramente ubicato di fronte alla stazione ferroviaria, invece ci sono circa 300 metri da fare a piedi tra le traverse (di certo l'Hotel non si vede dalla stazione); 3) l'ascensore non serve il semi interrato ove sono ubicate due belle camere spaziose, quindi bisogna salire e scendere ben 2 rampe di scale con i bagagli; 4) i corridoi che danno accesso alle rampe di scale, per arrivare alle camere, in prossimità delle porte presentano dei bordi (piccoli scalini) alti circa 2cm, che non sono evidenziati, e non si vedono, in cui spesso si inciampa e si rischia di cadere; 5) nella camera 601 durante tutta la notte si sente venire giù dell'acqua all'interno di una tubatura attraverso i muri, presumibilmente si tratta di uno scarico delle acque nere che non è stato isolato acusticamente, visto che non ha piovuto per tutto il tempo della permanenza, ed il rumore era ad intermittenza, causando dei rumori che disturbano il sonno; 6) dopo essere rimasti 5 notti in quattro persone in due camere doppie, ci hanno presentato un conto, come pattuito, di 1860 Franchi Svizzeri, l'addetta alla cassa dell'Hotel ha preso dalla mia Carta di Credito solo 1800 Franchi Svizzeri, chiaramente non ho detto niente pensando si trattasse di un arrotondamento, (ed ho pure lasciato la mancia). Ma dopo quanche settimana hanno chimato sul mio cellulare dicendo che avevano fatto uno sbaglio sul conto e che volevano altri 60 Franchi Svizzeri ( ALLA FACCI DEL BUON GUSTO...), per tanto volevano che gli fornissi i numeri della mia Carta di Credito.
