“ Great friendly staff, Great location next to the Opera house. This area of the city is right next to the lake and there are plenty of lively cafes and restaurants. Quaglino's bistro in the hotel itself is also excellent. I stayed in a single room that while not huge was plenty bug enough for me and it is very well decorated (with B&O TV and Rain shower). ”

Decor was excellent - rooms were immaculate. Turn down service always a nice touch as it makes the place feel a lot more premium. Also got a token for a free drink in the bar, and had free Wifi - all excellent. Location was great, short walk into the main old town areas with a station within 5 minutes which goes to the main train station or the airport.

Nice large bedroom with style. Had a corner, superior double room with two large windows. Nice shower. Restaurant is good. We liked the style and feel. Location of hotel is great, very close to Opera, Niederdorf shops and lake. Aircon could not be switched off..while not generally bad I like to totally switch them off. No minibar. Smallish, while nice bathroom without bathtub. Breakfast is an extra and not really good value.

The staff were professional, welcoming & charming. The hotel is in a great location in Zurich, close to the lake & easy walk or tram ride to the main shopping district & the old town. The hotel is charmingly decorated with a classic/traditional feel & nice quality finishes. I was in a "single" room on the top floor, which had a smallish but very well set up bathroom. Bed & pillows were super comfy- I slept well. Room service was excellent (& the staff served me from the main menu even though it was after 11pm, which was great as I had just flown in & was hungry.) In the morning I woke to views across the rooftops of Zurich to the beautiful Swiss Alps. I intend to stay at Hotel Europe again when I am next in Zurich & would love to go back with my family.

The staff was friendly and moderately helpful. Our room was ugly...brown and worn. The bathroom is dangerous with a step between facilities. Shower leaked water into entire bathroom. Restaurant staff was rude. Price for room was double its actual worth. Would never stay here again nor would recommend it. Booking is doing false advertising for this place.

This is a lovely hotel and if books early very good value! Clean rooms, free wifi, great shower, quiet and a free drink make this a great choice for business travellers. Single rooms are a little small but adequate.

Location I have sent a request in my reservation, one room besides another, two children 8 years and 12 years old. When I arrived they have arranged two rooms, but with 3 rooms between ours. I have asked to change but they didn'T. They said fully booked!

Beautifully decorated The tiniest bathroom in the world without hooks or shelves to put things on. I am thin but someone bigger than me wouldn't have been able to get inside this bathroom. No mini bar so impossible to have a cold drink.

Nice modern bathroom with proper shower (not over bath) Rooms a little small. And like most swiss hotels there was no kettle and tea or coffee making facilities in the room.
