one of the reasons i chose excelsior was due to earlier reviews, which said the hotel was very clean. this is very much true. even though it is in an old building and at the first sight may seem not that fancy, it has all the comfort and facilities you require for a comfortable stay. location is excellent, walking distance from main train station and the lake, bus terminal for sightseeing tours and tourist information office. breakfast is not great, but enough, and the dinner at the same restaurant in the evening is pretty good at a reasonable price. hotel also has elevator. there's a coffee-room type room on the ground floor for meetings/work, rooms are reasonable size, clean, with all the basic amenities, staff very friendly and helpful |

Location There was no comfortable easy chair to sit in in the room. There should be a kettle and tea coffee , milk and sugar for guests to make themselves a cup of tea or coffee. This is a standard facility that is provided in even 3-star hotels all over the world. |

Hotel staff were very accommodating, friendly and provide us the basic information for a short stay in Geneva City.It has a clean and nice room. The place is accessible to the bus and train station. Most of all its very near the shopping centers, restaurants, and convenience stores where we can buy our needs like foods and presents to our loved ones. |

Very friendly and polite personnel, although we arrived 2 hours before official check-in I've got accomodation very quickly; rooms are really clean, though the building is old. Delicious croissants for breakfast :-) and of course very convenient location Air conditioning (I would never choose this hotel in summer); more services (E.G. electric adapter), and the most improtant is integrity: after returning home I've found that 4 taxi calls were charded (instead of 2 in reality) - unfortunately I haven't checked the bill during check- out have being accustomed to Swiss honesty and punctiliousness - trifle but unpleasant. |

The staff were very helpful and good English was spoken. The room was spotless and there were plenty of TV channels to choose from. The hotel had a relaxed feel about it, although it was very professionally run. I have no complaints about the facilities, although it is a small hotel so did not have things such as spa/leisure facilities. It is very convenient for the city centre and is close to the main train/tram/bus station, so getting about was easy. There was no air conditioning. The temperature during my stay was in the mid-20s Centigrade, but the week beforehand it was in the low 30s. This had the effect of warming up the hotel to the point where you had to have a window open for cooling, but this then made the room quite noisy if one's room was facing the street (as mine was). It is a real shame because I could not find fault in any other way, but in high summer this could be a real problem with comfort at night. |

Very sad to have this kind of experience. The staff are misleading the clients regarding the car in so call "reasonable price in the city" for parking: we payed 81 Swiss Franks for 3 days to park our car where they direct us to. I do not recommend the place if you travel by car, nor if you have small children, nor if you want to be in a clean and safe area of Geneva. The staff are not prepare for daily traveler questions: they ether do not know or they give wrong information. Breakfast is basic. Room was large, clean, not AC, view to a run down interior court. For a 2 star hotel, the price is to high and the service is lousy. the only positive one was the third bed was a good and comfortable one. The hotel should provide parking or pay it for the clients. Train the staff accordingly: they do not know directions in Geneva, they should offer basic service like sending out greeting cards for they own customers. And a very important one: the ones in our room where terrible. |

Centrally located; basics are provided; nice staff. With the summer heat, my room was extremely hot and the lack of air conditioning made it very unconfortable during the night, even with an open widow. |

Very helpful & good-humoured receptionist Leonard.Nice, clean, and functional room. Good breakfast. Geneva is well known for being very expensive, and this is reflected in its hotel prices. This particular hotel is no exception. |

1. Fast wireless Internet access included in the room rate. 2. Breakfast was significantly more complex than in other comparable hotels in Geneva. When I asked I even get a tomato. Usually you get no more than a croissant and cup of coffee. My room was not bigger than 5sq meters. It hardy fit narrow bed and a table. As no air-condition was available it made me to keep the window open all the time. As the window was on the street side the room turned out to be quite noisy. |

Very well located, 300 metres away from Lake Geneva and the Cornavin train station, in the heart of the nightlife district, the Nash Ville hotel provides easy access to the historic old town. |
The completely renovated Hotel Cornavin enjoys an ideal and quiet location in the very heart of Geneva, just 1 minute from the train station and 5 minutes from the international organisations. |
Approximately 80 metres away from Geneva's main train station Cornavin, which is also the terminus for the airport train, this charming hotel welcomes you in its cosy traditional atmosphere. |
Benefiting from a prime location opposite the Main Railway Station of Geneva, Hotel Bernina is adjacent to a big shopping centre and only a 5-minute walk from Lake Geneva. |
