The room is very clean and with a nice mountain view. It has a nice garden as well. The location is good - only 5-10 min walk from the train station. It is also very easy to go to the jungfrau from the hotel. The staffs are very friendly and nice. The breakfast is very good. If we would go to jungfrau region again, we will definitely stay at the hotel again.

The 15 euro taxi ride from the hotel to train station which is almost required due to the slopes.

Daniel, the hotel manager was simply the most hospitable person ever! My wife and I unfortunately did not pack any winter clothes and we happenned to arrive during their first snow in over 30 years. Daniel let us borrow some of us winter clothes for our stay which saved us and allowed us to enjoy all that this beautiful area had to offer. He spent some time when we first arrived, giving us a tour of the property and explaining how all of the trains/aerial cable cars worked. It really felt like this hotel was an extension of their home...the 4 course dinners were excellent, and we loved that the breakfast was included in our room rate. There was a feel of the hotel was so relaxed....we were on a 2.5 week Eurotrip, and this was the best hotel we stayed at. We loved staying there and will absolutely go back!

The hosts were especially accomodating and friendly. They went out of their way to make sure that our stay was comfortable and pleasant. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. The views were unparallelled.

Overall, our stay at the Edelweiss was a fantastic way to start our first trip to Switzerland. We stayed in a warm, comfortable, clean room with a balcony and view of the mountains. The host Daniel and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The four course gormet meals offered to the guests at an incredibly low price kept us dining at the Edelweiss every night that we could. Our stay in Wengen was the best part of our trip. We wish we had stayed longer and highly recommend the Edelweiss Hotel.

Steep walk to the hotel from train station. Most shops and restaurants are closed on Sunday and Monday in the area. Difficult to find good place to eat.

I loved the view, the staff went out of their way to help us with advice on places to go. The food at the hotel was excellent and great value compared to other places around it.

Everything. A lovely swiss hotel with great staff, all friendly. Nice little single room with wonderful view of the Jungfrau mountain. Near enough to the station so good location for skiers. Excellent value for that part of Switzerland.

The staff is fantastic, so warm so nice, I love them! And the breakfast is so wonderful, there is also a kind staff helping you during breakfast. You can also book supper in this hotel. By the way, the sightseeing for this hotel is wonderful, you can see three snow mountains at the balcony, so romantic.

The location is not so wonderful if you have too much luggage, though it is near the Wengen station.

The location is really great only a short walk to the centre of the town, the staff were very friendly and the room was comfortable and had a good view across the valley. The hotel is great value. Wengen is an amazing place with fantastic scenery.

The views are exceptional! The staff are the highlight - really kind and helpful. The rooms are not large, but very nicely laid out so you don't feel cramped. Dinner at the restaurant was reasonably priced (although nothing spectacular).

It's a slightly hilly trek from the train station - not usually a problem - only so if you have elderly or very young visitors.

We have just returned from a seven week tour of UK and Europe. Hotel Edelweiss was our best accomodation (and many of them were excellent). A real highlight. Daniel was super friendly and welcoming. The food was fantastic too.

It's better if the room is more spacious but probably it is due to the budget room that we chose.

Wonderful staff, excellent food & amazing views.

The uphill walk to the Mannlichen lift & Jungfraubahn make for great excercise if your hiking but if you're heading out for a day on the slopes, a less tiring walk would be preferred.

The owner is extremely friendly and helpful. I'm not sure is every hotel owner in that area same as him? (Didn't get to stay any other hotel in Wengen/Murren/Interlaken yet). The location is close, but you have to walk downhill a little bit. Didn't get to try the dinner as some traveller mentioned because it was really not a holiday season. Liked almost everything here. Some people mentioned that the WIFI could be a problem; I stayed one floor up (some people call it 1st, some say 2nd floor) and my laptop had no problem with the connection most of the time. My phone, however, often disconnects and connects again. Overall I'm satisfied with the WIFI connection and it's better than many hotels.

The beddings and pillow weren't working for me, but it could just be me. I stayed 3 nights there, and didn't get much sound sleep (had many dreams and woke up tired). There were no extra noise nearby or anything, but again it could just be me.

This is an outstanding hotel for so many reasons! Our room was beautiful with its balconies facing two directions. Everything about the room and the hotel is beautifully constructed and maintained, crisp and clean. The hotel staff went out of their way to extend hospitality in every respect. The sauna is very upscale; actually everything in the hotel is upscale! And the food is truly gourmet. After the first night's dinner, we knew we wouldn't be dining anywhere else. The chef is truly gifted, and he makes everything!! On a scale of 1 - 10, we'd rank the Hotel Edelweiss an 11!

Hotel Edelweiss was AMAZING. Danial and his staff made our stay wonderful. Our rooms were well appointed, beds were comfortable. Anything they could do do make our stay more comfortable was done. Dinner that evening was the best of our entire trip. The menu varies every night and that night our choice was 3 or 4 course: Salad, Cheese fondue, dessert, or salad, beetroot soup-delicious, pork swiss steak or local deer and desert. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful and included in our room.
