Clean and modernized room. It doesn't have a bath tube and the bath area is open to the room. I guess it is for make a room look bigger than its real size. |

It was in a nice area, not far from city center. The rooms were very nice, very Jetson-like. Rooms were very clean. Staff was nice. It was very expensive, but the cheapest I could find in Bern, and personally I'd rather spend less and stay in a little inn thats more personable than having a big luxurious room. |

Rooms very clean, staff very friendly, surroundings very quiet and therefore good to sleep at night. Bathroom lighting very poor and so quite difficult to apply make-up. |

We were looking for a hotel on the outskirts of Bern but with easy access to the city, which this hotel has. Also, it is air conditioned and had free parking, which was much appreciated. |

The staff was friendly and the modern accommodations were well designed for such a compact space. Air conditioning was great to have even though the temperatures were mild. Great view of the old city and mountains, and easy access to the tram which took you directly into the city center in less than 10 minutes. |

Hotel was very neat and clean. Breakfast was not included in the booking cost. In fact the cost of breakfast seems to be very very high which 22 chf per person. So this means that breakfast is 35% of the cost of stay per person per night (63chf per person per night). One more disadvantage is there are no restaurants near by. We need to go to city centre (bahnhof) to get the food. Another disadvantage is they have not mentioned how to reach the hotel from the bahnhof station. They have just mentioned in the website that we need to get down at schonegg station which is not sufficient. They should mention that we need to take tram number 9. |

This hotel has one main thing to recommend it, which is that for an acceptable Swiss hotel, it is relatively inexpensive. The rooms are decent sized and have desks, the beds are comfortable, and it is clean. But be aware that everything about the hotel betrays its price category, and not its absurd, self-assigned, "four star" rating. That is, the whole hotel is essentially a cheap, modernist box: the lobby is the sort of soulless vacant space no-one would possibly wish to sit in; the rooms themselves are constructed of cement and wood-laminate (not wood); the toiletries come in little plastic packages, presumably to save the cost of providing bottles of them; the pool an "spa" are unattended (use at your own risk) and when I used it I could not find clean towels anywhere (I think on the assumption you should bring the one in your room); the coffee provided in the rooms is instant. But if you're stuck in Bern for some reason, this is a perfectly reasonable place to stay: the beds are comfortable, and although the hotel is not central a very useful tram line (running to the main station and the main old town square) stops outside the front door. Well, as mentioned above, I didn't like the obviously cheap quality of all the furnishings (although the bed was comfortable), the strange shower (which one had to climb into over a two-foot high cement wall), and the general lack of thought for guests' comfort throughout. This hotel is memorable mostly for its entirely unmemorable, bottom-line- driven, character. It is an Ibis, basically, with slightly better sized rooms. I walked through the 22-Swiss franc breakfast, but decided there was nothing I wanted to eat there -- that is, it has all the standard stuff, but the cereal is corn flakes and so forth (no high-quality granola), the bread is white, job-lot croissants or that dyed brown (not true whole wheat); I didn't see much fresh fruit; the cheese and ham were that pre-sliced industrial-quality stuff. If you don't eat the breakfast there, though, you'll need either to bring something better or go into town (very fast, but it depends if you can move without breakfast). |

Very helpful and friendly reception staff. Stop for tram into Berne city centre (about 8 minutes ride) just outside and tickets sold by the hotel. Pleasant rural setting on the edge of town. Free (in open air) parking. The hotel has a vry contemporary feel with strong Japanese design elements. We did not have time to try the spa or other facilities. Breakfast charge at 22 chf per person rather steep -- we did not take it as a result. |

The proximity to the Bern city center was great. A short tram ride and you were right in the center. The free parking was nice for a city hotel. The spa was very nice as well. It was nice to relax after a long day of walking and sight seeing. The food selection at the hotel could have been better. While they had a Japanese restaurant I felt that the menu could have been more dynamic. Prices in Switzerland are always crazy! |
