Location and quit enviroment, however we were the only guests Biggest room without toilet, smaller room with toilet was more expensive. Was not mentioned on the website |

the room was large and it has a lovely view on the lake. The crew was quite friendly and helpful dinner was "haute cuisine", also quite expensive. I did rather expect to have a good decent meal for a normal price. Still in all the experience was quite positive. |

fantastic view of walensee-the hotels garden slopes down to the edge of the lake.we're not sure we should have been in the garden however, or used the 2 sunbeds that were in it as we noticed a small sign on the gate as we left which said 'strictly no admittance. We arrived at the hotel at 2:30pm to find it locked and apparantly deserted.We returned an hour later to find it still locked, but after again banging on the door,the owner eventually opened it to tell us that the hotel was full,that they had no knowledge of our reservation and tried to close the door in our faces.We protested and he agreed to go and check .He came back and let us in.Bizarre. |

The Flyhof is an excellent hotel, a really wonderful dining experience complimented by very friendly, accommodating staff. OK, no TV's in the rooms (but that suited us), antique furniture a very ancient building which has maintained its "olde World" feel whilst providing very comfortable and modern facilities. The position and outlook was superb and we would highly recommended this hotel for a weekend get-away just an hour by car from Zurich Airport. |
