Ambiente Hotel Freieck is set in the center of Chur, one of the oldest towns in Switzerland. The Art Museum or the Church of St. Martin are close by. All comfortable rooms are traditionally furnished and have a private bathroom. Breakfast is served in the Freieck’s restaurant. Bar Federal and the adjoining atrium invite guests to relax in the evening or enjoy coffee during the day. The ski areas Arosa and Lenzerheide can be reached within a 30-minute drive. The rooms were clean, comfortable and well furnished. The breakfast menu was excellent. Location for the old town, shops and station was ideal. The bar and hotel lobby contained excessive tobacco smoke preventing us from using the bar facility.

We've stayed here twice before and always return because of the central location and excellent, unhurried breakfast including unlimited hot food and coffee. Smoky bar - we never use it (although we would like to) because of the smell of stale cigaretttes.

Location good for exploring the altstadt and walking from the station staff very welcoming and helpful room was clean and bed was wonderfully comfortable room was spacious breakfast was good and generous in its variety Night time noise, from a nearby club or pub - this interrupted sleep a lot, particularly on the Friday night shower cubicle a bit small would have liked a shower cap and proper soap to be provided no tea making facilities and that would have made a big difference for me

The hotel is very handy to the train station. It is an easy walk. It also is very handy to a gondola ride up the moutain. The breakfast was great, and the staff was most accommodating. They let us leave our luggage there for several hours after we checked out. We were satisified with everything.

Hotel Ambiente Freieck was a reasonable hotel, but we arrived late and left early the next day to catch the Bernina Express train so can't really comment too much. It was clean & the staff were friendly and helpful. It was a liitle further from the train station than we thought - walkable, but with luggage and children a bit hard. Was easy getting a taxi in the morning though for our early start!

We stayed at the hotel as a mid way stop before going up the mountain and was sufficiently impressed by the central location and the easily accessed historical surrounding. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable for visitors looking for a good rest during the course of a hectic schedule. Public parking facility is exactly at the front door of the hotel, although metered on an hourly basis during the day time.

Friendly staff, excellent breakfast (including bacon), short walk from train station and other downtown sites in Chur, room for four was comfortable and recently remodeled Rather noisy in the neighborhood but it's a tradeoff for the location

The family room was 2 single beds pushed to d ends of another 2 single beds!! There was not even room to walk around. Had one small window, no kettle or glasses.

Excellent customer service. We did not know breakfast was included so did not go down for breakfast. The lady from the breakfast room called us to go down. Cleaning maid opened elevator door for us. They went all the way. Love the service and people working there. I think the elevator was a little bit too small. Furniture are not worn but outdated.
