Garni Maggia is located in the village of Coglio, just 2 km from Maggia. Dating back to the 18th century, accommodation in this countryside house is peaceful and bright. Rooms here have large windows facing a lovely garden. They also have wooden floors and high ceilings. Guests can choose from rooms with private or shared bathroom facilities. In the garden, guests can sit under a white pergola, with a granite table and benches for 4. Wi-Fi is free in public areas. Continental breakfast is served in a bright dining room. Quaint and quiet b&b with some character. Free parking. Good Wifi service. Breakfast was not that great ... Rolls were packaged and box cereal was about all. We shared bathroom and our guests didn't keep it clean after their use. Garden in the back could have been tidier.

Nice and quiet, great Swiss view I found it a bit weird that it resembles more of a house with a few rooms other than a motel. No front desk or anything like it.

Preis -Leistungsverhältnis sehr sehr schlecht.Zimmer nicht abgestaubt. Zimmer werden nicht gemacht während des Aufenthaltes, nicht mal gebettet, auf meine Frage beim Eigentümer bekam ich zur Antwort das sei nicht üblich!!! Frühstück sehr sehr mager. extrem hellhörig, jeden Laut bekommt man zu hören auch von seinen Nachbarn. Etagenbad Sauberkeit lässt auch zu wünschen übrig. Lichtsensor im Gang funktioniert auch nicht richtig, man tappt nachts im Dunkeln die Treppe hoch und runter wenn man auf die Toilette muss.

müsste wieder einmal gründlich abgestaubt werden im Zimmer, Kasten und Nachttischlampe extrem voller Staub, Zimmer wurde nicht gemacht, auf meine frage beim Besitzer bekam ich zur antwort das sei nicht üblich!! so etwas habe ich bis jetzt noch nie erlebt und zu hören bekommen....Frühstück sehr sehr mager...sauberkeit im EtagenBadezimmer lässt zu wünschen übrig,,Zimmer sehr sehr hellhörig.lichtsensor im Gang funktionert nicht richtig, man tappt nachts im dunkeln herum. kein freundliches Wort oder danke beim Abschied vom Besitzer, ich frage mich sehr für was ich diesen Preis bezahlt habe.

Eigentlich möchte man das ja als Geheimtipp für sich behalten - das kleine Dorf, das 300jährige Haus mit vier Stockwerken und die entspannte Atmosphäre im blühenden Garten, wo man Frühstücken, selbstgekochtes Abendessen geniessen und die Kinder "weiden" lassen kann - aber Filippo und sein Team haben ja auch wirtschaftlichen Erfolg verdient. Deshalb: wer einige ruhige Tage im Tessin verbringen will und sich kein Ferienhaus leisten mag, ist hier genau richtig.

The staff of the hotel was very friedly and helpfull. There were many excellent walking routes in Valle Maggia. There were also a couple (maybe 2-3) of good and nice restaurants in the village (Coglio) and the river was beautifull.

Das Garni befindet sich in einem alten Tessinerhaus, das etwas abseits gelegene Dorf liegt auf der Strecke Richtung Fusio im Maggiatal und ist deshalb gut geignet für Wanderer und Leute die die Ruhe schätzen und nicht grossen Wert auf Luxus legen.Trotzdem ist man mit dem Auto o. Bus schnell in Locarno oder Ascona. Einkaufstip für Souvenirs ist kurz vor Bignasco das Punto Verde, ein paar Rusticos, geführt von Tessinern. Dort gibt es vom Grappa über Käse, Seifen, Gewürze und Granitkunstobjekte alles zu kaufen und ist wirklich zu empfehlen mal einen Blick reinzuwerfen!

Die freundliche Aufnahme durch die Gastgeber, das schöne alte Haus mit dem authentischen Flair des Maggiatales, schöner Garten, das Frühstück Den Verpackungsmüll beim Frühstück (Marmelade, Butter, Joghurt, Cornflakes) könnte man durch eine Ausweitung des Buffets einfach vermeiden - es muss ja nicht alles abgepackt auf dem Tisch stehen

Angenehm ruhige Lage und sehr saubere, freundliche und helle Zimmer. Schoener Garten zum wohlfuehlen. Auch die Besitzer sind sehr freundlich und hilfreich. Wir kommen gerne wieder! Fuer meinen Geschmack war das Fruehstueck etwas lieblos.
