Hotel Garni Muralto  

Location is excellent, Locarno beautiful at any time of the year, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and modern and the buffet breakfast more than adequate. All in all tremendous value for money.

Excellent Facilities and Superb Staff

Very helpful and friendly staff.

Brwakfest was ok, but nothing special. Nothing fresh or hand made, everything seems to have come from a package or can.

The room size is okay. The comfort is very good, either the hotel is new or has been recently renovated. Good bath, lcd tv (although in some rooms it might be in a awkward position due to room lay out). Breakfast is rather modest but very good quality. Good location, very near Locarno's centre and the lake. Locarno itself is a nice town and good base to explore Ticino. Value for money on the positive side, specially considering that Switzerland is usually very expensive. Parking on site, included in the price. I would recommend this hotel and if visiting that are again, I'd stay there.

I don't find it fair to pay extra for the Internet, but at least the connection was good.

Although in the site there is the possibility to choose asmoking room, this is possible on the balcony of the rooms which had it.

The Garni Muralto has been very tastefully decorated with modern fixtures and fittings and good quality linens and towels. The hotel was spotlessly clean, bright and airy. The hotel is in a great location just a 2 minute walk from the station and town centre. We changed our booking to a suite on the top floor, which I would highly recommend if staying here. The room was spacious and the view from the balcony was lovely. The bathroom contained a separate shower and bath which is always a nice treat in a hotel. The staff at Garni Muralto could not have been any more pleasant or helpful.

He only negative comments about the room would be that the air conditioning was not very powerful and there was no tea and coffee making facilities in room which is very unusual for 4 star accommodation. Breakfast was ok but nothing special, just a standard continental. For a 4 star you would expect a wider choice and perhaps some hot options. Unfortunately during our stay there was construction work next to and across from the hotel. This meant there was substantial noise from 7:30 am till around 5pm. I know the hotel can't help construction taking place however it would have been courteous of the hotel to mention it on or before check in and offer a token apology for the inconvenience.

Building site right next to hotel with noisy work starting early morning. This will apparently continue for quite some time.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff at reception were very courteous and helpfull. We would stay there again.

Friendliness and efficiency of staff. Very nice room, good breakfast, excellent location. I felt good coming back to the hotel after a day's work.
