Hotel Garni Muralto  

The hotel staff were very helpful. We had a most gorgeous room with a balcony overlooking the lake. Breakfast offers a good range of choices- muesli, fresh fruit, pastries- all deliciuos. Would certainly go back.

I like the hotel very much. Clean, big rooms, comfort, very good breakfest, very good location.

The rooms have been very well modernised. Both the room and the bathroom is well designed.

Pity that the breakfast does not offer a coffee machine, but only old fashioned filter coffee. There are no bread baskets, and the bread knife is a joke. The quality of the breakfast is otherwise ok, and the breakfast room offers seats indoors, and on the terrace.

It's location was perfect, being near the train station, bus stops, shopping complexes, restaurants, and the lake. The staff at the reception desk were very friendly and helpful and spoke perfect English. They were knowledgeable about tourist information regarding eateries, etc.

The rooms were cozy and clean, though a little smaller and more minimalist than we expected. The individual tv channels had to be specifically requested and paid for, for example. However, it is still a wonderful place to stay at for a spur-of-the-moment romantic weekend getaway.

When booking the hotel, I opted for the better view room, but I had no idea how gorgeous it would be. We could see the entire lake and mountains plus downtown Muralto/Lucarno from our hotel room window and it had a very nice front deck. The staff was extremely welcoming and asked if it was our first time there and provided us a discount ticket for dinner downtown as well as very easy directions to park our vehicle safely in an underground garage. I am also gluten free and had asked if I would still be able to take advantage of the breakfast included with my stay, and I received a note within the hour of booking that they would be happy to accommodate me and have gluten free bread available. Once we got there for breakfast, they had it waiting at check-in and even toasted it for me in a separate basket the next morning. I would absolutely recommend this hotel, particularly for a romantic getaway.

Good location, within a walking distance from the train station. The hotel was nicely decorated with very pleasant color tones. Breakfast was excellent, we liked having it at the patio outside, with an omlet stand i would say it would match breakfasts in 5 star hotels. The bathroom was nice as well with nice italian touch and i especially liked the twisting shower door.

No English movie or Arabic channels.

We liked the design, the modern bathroom and furniture the closeness to the railway station and the quiet neighborhood.the buffet breakfast was adequate,the staff helpful.

Friendliness and efficiency of staff. Very nice room, good breakfast, excellent location. I felt good coming back to the hotel after a day's work.

Very modern rooms and not too bad of a climb from the docks and train station. Very kind management but breakfast was a little bland and the internet was out of order.
