This place is very good located, its quiet but easily reachable (by train and bus) from the main cities around (St. Moritz, Pontresina). The owners are extremely kind and willing to help with everything. I love the cakes they offer and the breakfast is fine as well. Couldnt stop to eat the fresh joghurt with blackberries and blackcurrants :-) I am really looking forward to staying there again ...
the interior is absolutely impeccable with knotty pine Wood everywhere. bath room with a shower and plenty of hot water. we give it a 10/10 in every respect the owner should be very proud to have this type of Hotel with such a warm atmosphere. very highly recommended
there is nothing we did not like
A very well run, friendly hotel in the Alps at 3000 metres ASL.
A very good location and very clean environment.
During our extensive world travel,This is one of the very few few times,When we were called by our ethnicity in our presence, which seems odd. A very little investment is needed for a wake up call.It seems rude for refusing the request at point blank.
I stayed in this hotel 3 years ago and tho return visit in July 2014 confirmed how good it is. Great welcome, excellent food and a nice quiet location next to a small station from which you can easily get to St Moritz.
This is one of the best places we stated during our trip starting from Rome. Much better than we expected accordingly to booking.com rating. We booked a quad room. The room interior is all pine wood. Simple, but very clean and comfortable. So be the bath room. The manager whom other staffs call 'the chef' is very nice. One day we bought food from supermarket as dinner. He suggested us to use the common room. We need to leave early in the morning. He arranged early breakfast. When we found the train we planned we ride was not available, he arranged a hotel car to send us to St. Moritz where we needed to catch the Glacier Express. The location is out of town, but by a train station which is 2 stop from Pontresina. Still convenient. Very quiet and great view. The chef also suggested a hiking trail and a lift. Both are awesome! Thank you Chef!
Excellent steaks and soups Close proximity to cable car and train Peaceful, quiet, in the evening-only sounds of cowbells and stream
- everyone was very friendly (at reception and in the restaurant ) and I had a warm welcome - room was very clean and quiet -.... but on the other side close to Berninapass and Diavolezza gondola - all gondolas were included in the room price after two over-night stays - TOP
- a bit outside of Pontresina, but .....
Room was very clean, location was quiet and peaceful. Located opposite a train station, so getting around was not an issue. (just had to figure out the train schedules and plan around it, 15min to Pontresina). Great mountain view! Brrakfast was good enough to start the day!
The choices of food on the menu, the breakfast and the very helpful and friendliness of Nichole and Laby.
The room as a little small and the view from the window was limited.
The staff were exceptionally pleasant and helpful The location was amazing The views lovely The roomsize was ample Bed comfortable
The toilet seat was broken. Their were pubic hairs in the shower. The floor of the bedroom was dirty. It turned out to be the most expensive stay of our trip
The hotel was pretty and quaint. The owners (husband and wife) both so very kind they gave us free pass to see the moutain pitzplau and so enjoyed it plus bringing us around and food in hotel was good specially linzer tort decor was good of restaurant location was a bit far from city but their is a train opposite and peaceful great view front of hotel and back .we would come back to this hotel and recommend to others
The hosts were extremely helpful and very attentive to all our needs, they could not do enough for us and the food was very good, tasty and lots of it, highly recommend it to any one going to Pontresina, beautiful location. Well worth a visit , even if it's just for the food, the dried hams were to die for.
Nothing, it was very good nothing to complain about
A lovely hotel in a beautiful location, surrounding area lovely for walks and a 10 min drive to St Moritz. Breakfast was great. We had dinner at the hotel and it was delicious and great value for money too. Would recommend this hotel.
The wood decorations give a nice atmosphere. The food for the dinner was quite good/ tasty (breakfast just fair).
The place is isolated and in the winter, if you don't have a car, you are kind of stranded. It shows in the search for Pontresina, but it 's actually not in Pontresina, but close to a small train station in which the Bernina Express for example doesn't stop.
Hospitality of the owners and the staff and the food were excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel.
The lack of internet in the hotel rooms and dependancy on the public transport (if you do not have a car) as the hotel is located approximately 6 km from Pontresina village.
Great staff and very accommodating. We had to stay an extra night due to weather, and we were treated like royalty.
The location description should be better. To say they are in Pontresina is not correct. This hotel is a standalone hotel. Had we have had a better description of the location, we may have elected to stay closer to town.
The auberge was exactly what I was looking. A peaceful typical Engadin retreat in the middle of the alps. Great value for money, friendly staff and only a minute from the train. Breakfast was copious .. can't fault dinner either. 10 / 10 for me !!!
