I sent the following complaint to the hotel yesterday and haven't received a reply: I stayed at Hotel Rotary, Geneva, on June 26-28, room 616. When checking in, an amount of SFr 200 was withdrawn from my Mastercard account, even though the receptionist assured me that the money was just being "blocked" for possible miscellaneous expenses and will be returned at checkout. I checked out on June 28, again giving my card to the receptionist and receiving the same assurances. Nevertheless, until today, the money hasn't been returned to my account (xxxx9716). I require an explanation of what happened, why the hotel misled me, and an immediate return of the amount illegally withdrawn from my account. |

Excellent location, friendly staff, hotel a little dated but immaculately clean Yes, they offered car parking facilility. We were on a motor bike and were charged 40 CHF per day. |

Its central position, its quietness. The stuff is friendly. When we arrrived we were informed that our reservation was cancelled and that we had to find another hotel. Finally, we stayed in another room of the same hotel, and the next day we moved in a room of the superior category, according to our reservation. That was the only inconvenience, which was solved easily and gently. |

The location was perfect. Very relaxing environment in the hotel lobby and bar area. We felt very welcomed. The only thing was the price of the continental breakfast. At $36.00 swiss franc, that should have covered three (3) breakfasts, not just one (1). We had to catch a train early, else we would have eaten elsewhere. |

Breakfast, was miserable and very small. The charge of CHF 36 was incredible! I was in a room where you had to climb the stairs to the 1st floor in order to take the elevator |

The location is great close to the lake and the central station. The staff are helpful, and the hotel looks very good. |

The hotel was clean and the rooms very comfortable -service was good and the staff at all times helpful and courteous. The water in the shower took a long time to run through hot, and thereafter was difficult to regulate.-The price of the drinks in the hotel was very high and similarly breakfast although very good was expensive and probably accounted for why i saw very few people eating it. |

I was not very mobile ( on a crutch and the hotel staff could not have been more helpful . the room was nice as was the entrance hall etc , also well positioned for the lake and city centre locations expensive breakfast |

The full size bedroom was excellent; large bed, full size pillows, full bathroom. 40-inch TV with three different English channels was a real bonus too. The location in the city center was very helpful for touristing. The staff was not very knowledgeable of the city. |
