Breakfast adequate but not great. Tinned fruit, yogurt, cereals, bread, ham and cheese. No toaster.
Owners....well, not the friendliest people in the world! Either very shy or plain rude! Just seemed to ignore us....
Location, location, location! Despite industrial work nearby, we loved the location. The gorge walk is a must, accessed via the hotel. Take a camera!
Grindlewald easily accessible by car, hourly bus or walk if you're fit.
Ate here on the first night and were very impressed. Not cheap (especially the wine) but tasty and plenty of it.
Room clean and good sized. Kids need to be nimble....their beds are accessed via a vertical ladder against the wall. Not a problem for most but we have a child with mobility problems who could not climb it!
Excellent young waitress who speaks very good English....and German and French as we overheard!
