Friendly staff and the good services

The hotel was more than great I and my husband fall in love with it .It is very comfortable and cozy .The balcony view was spectacular no words can explain our feelings when we first saw the view .The breakfast was good .The staff was helpful in giving advices where to go.It is 15 minutes away from interlaken.Thank you Gloria for the wonderful memories you gave us.

The road to the hotel is a bit difficult as it is on the top of a mountain but 2 days is enough to get used to it.

The people from the hotel all make you feel special and welcome, from the first to the last moment you are there; clear explanations at arrival; very nicely decorated rooms; spotless and comfortable; flatscreen tv. Fantastic views from the balcony; excellent food and service at the restaurant; free parking.

Not much on the negative side, except maybe: the price which is bit high (as usual in Switzerland) and the tv which is a bit small.

Everything about Gloria, the location, service and amazing food ( Read made our stay more worthwhile. Can't get over the morning view from balcony. Perfect for a honeymoon couple!!

Commuting was a big hassle. Bus service is very poor with just 1 bus per hour from Beatenberg to Interlaken and viceversa. It took about 35-40 min to reach Interlaken leaving us with lesser time.

What can I say about Hotel Gloria and their staff? Absolutely excellent!!!! The owners are wonderfully friendly and Bernard is an outstanding chef. The food was amazing, the views incredible and the staff excellent. We spent our anniversary there in a double room with an amazing view of the Alps and Lake Thunersee. The room was clean and well equipped. Ask for a hot water boiler for coffee and hot chocolate in the room. Our anniversary dinner was met with a specially decorated table with excellent service and outstanding food. It was complete with a dessert tray engraved in chocolate with "Happy Anniversary". They made our special day so wonderful. We will be back!!

The only thing that we did not like was that the double bed is two twins put together. We inquired about this and that is how it is done in all of Switzerland, unless you stay in an American hotel.

The Hotel Gloria was most definitely the most pleasant hotel stay we have ever experienced. That is due to the friendly, helpful staff and the overall ambiance of the hotel. Located about 20 minutes up into the mountains from Interlaken by car, Hotel Gloria is family-owned and operated by Bernard and Jackie, a lovely international couple whose attitudes about life and love of people have simply inspired everything about this hotel. The meals served in their dining room and on the terrace overlooking views of the Jungfrau, Eiger, and Lake Thun, are prepared with the freshest of ingredients. I even saw Bernard (also a chef!) selecting herbs planted amongst the balcony flower boxes for one of his delicious culinary creations! I certainly hope we are able to visit them again. My birthday dessert creation was not only beautiful to see, it was absolutely delicious!

A lovely hotel in a small village in the mountains, with a breathtaking view. Definitelly the best place we have stayed.
