Location close to the railway station, and on the main shopping district street, is excellent. The rooms are a bit tired. |

Location is superb (at most, 200m from the Hauptbahnhof). The suite had a separate living room and a large wrap around balcony. Bathroom was spacious and all appointments were in top condition. Internet is too expensive - 30CHF/day - and I would expect internet to be included in the room rate in most hotels in 2010. |

Enjoyed the stay. Received a complementary upgrade to a suite. Small but a suite. Location the greatest in Zurich. 3 minute walk with luggage to the train. Suite could use a TV in the bedroom too. |

I can't recommend the St Gothard highly enough It has been one of my favourite hotels for the last 30 years, and although it is too expensive for me to say in often, it was indeed a pleasure to return to it once again. Many thanks. We receiced an upgrade as well which was wonderful |

The staff were wonderful. Messages were passed on at the desk to anyone visiting me and they called me down promptly on arrival. The hotel has a homely atmosphere and everything I needed at hand. |

Central location of the hotel in the main shopping area of the Banhofstrasse Low service level and attitude of the reception staff - no flexibility to meet the request of a room on a high floor as requested at the point of booking. Internet connectivity is expensive CHF 30/ 24hrs. |

Rediculous staff without knowledge as to how the guests should be handled on arrival. We had to repeatedly have the keys for rooms changed due to the fault of reception and when complained, they remain cool instead of apologizing on their mistake. Though the hotel is located in centre but it is not worth even a 3 star. |

Central to Zurich It is really busy and quite in personal, staff gave me the room key of someone else to start with and I walked into their room with all there stuff open. So security can be lax, but ok mistakes happen. Bizarrelly in the room it did not have proper curatins, seemed to have bits of sheets over the window and it let in loads of light. There was lots of building going on. |

I loved the location of this property, step outside and you're in the heart of shopping, restaurants and walking distance to the old city. Also four minute walk to the main train station. |

The location is great for shopping. The staff could be more humble and nicer. They treat u like s**t and after finishing a conversation they will just turn their back without saying anything nice to u. Even though we pay for Deluxe rooms, which should be renovated, they offer us the old rooms with old furniture who wasn't comfortable at all. The slippers and robe are given only by request, even though they have it. We stay many times at this hotel but this time they really managed to convince me not to go there anymore. |

nice hotel .When I arrived I fond out the hotel is doing renovation at the lobby. It is not nice we were not told about it in advance, the rate was high and the noise was hard to take. They should let you know in advance about it. |

Oustanding service and helpfulness of staff. Allowed me to store baggage for 1 week after leaving the hotel. If you are a light sleeper and have a window open, rooms overlooking Bahnhofstrasse can be noisy, due to party-goers in the street below. Also thought that 33SF for breakfast was excessive. |
