St. Gotthard    

The hotel staff are extremely efficient and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The hotel location is just right for access to trains and trams, while it only takes a few minutes to walk to the lake. The hotel took note of our special request for a quiet room on a high floor. The facilities were very good, with the room having a bath as well as a shower. The air conditioning was fantastic.

Nice hotel, good central location and very close to train station.

The elevators were very small, one of them only fitting 2 people, the other 4 people, so getting luggage in and out was difficult. The internet code changed at midnight and we were not told or given the code for the morning so had not access in the morning before we left. They did apologise though. Parking is in a public multi-story car park about 4 minutes walk away. The location means it is a nightmare for driving to as it is so busy around that area. Driving anyway in central Zurich is a nightmare.

Good Location , seeing as we had come from the Train Station .

The Cooked Breakfast Of Sausages And Scrambled Eggs was Cold and me personally didn't like the way they tasted , this after a week long trip around Europe staying in 5 star hotels and eating scrambled eggs every morning . The Pillows were to soft , not very comfortable at all . No Entrance for a wheelchair that didn't have steps . We had stayed in the Schweizerhof the previous week and unfortunately St.Gotthard didn't match up to this Hotel , not just in accommodation or food , but they did go out of there way to accomodate us with a wheelchair user , which we didn't quite get at the St.Gotthard.

The location is excellent.

The services are terrible. When I arrived the hotel lobby, the receptionist was chatting with a couple in the counter. I kept waiting for 10 minutes that he never look ar me at all. Then another guest was coming to check-in. We both waited for another 4 minutes till they finished chatting (not doing checkin). Then he asked, who came first? I replied that I have been waiting for more than 10 minutes. Hoever, he never apologize nor welcome. After from this, room service was terrible too. They delivered my started and main completely wrong plus the tast were very bad. I would never come to this hotel again.

Very luxurious

Extremely expensive -- not just the hotel, but all the extras, such as meals. At this price they should include breakfast. It wasn't as clean as it should be at this rate, as there was an unpleasant stain on the carpet.

Great location and very close to the main train station and shops.

Location is fantastic-the hotel is 1 min walk from a train station and located in the beginning the famous shopping district. Staff is very helpful, freindly, professional. Super clean.Room had a wonderful ergonomic design, everything was on its place, very functional, very comfortable. Fantastic sanitaires!! I would stay forewer under that rain shower! Very nice bed with great linen. This was the only hotel providing an optional low pillow -thank you!! (yes, there is a standard pillow too). The hotel is very quiet, curtains can block the light completely, TV had all the european programs, I enjoyed not missing my program. And the last- not least- the artworks displayed everywhere in the building could be a separate reason to stay in this hotel- they are an exhibit in themselves! Resto is great, cofe was wonderful-I had a wonderful visit to Zurich and St.Gotthard was my home-sweet-home for 2 nights- thank you!

Bed could be a bit softer, but I have to admit, it was very beneficial for my problematic back. Furniture in the room (the fridge door) was unpleasently worn out -I can't say I did not like something, but that spoiled overall exellent impression.

I couldn't find anything. Evrything was common and average.

*Price *TV system: new fasilitiese but, it was not easy to operate and chabge programs. A responce was bad. *Refrigerator: mini bar.

Nothing went right during our stay. On Saturday night apparently the entire city gathers on the street below the room we were in shouting and screaming until 6 am. No one got any sleep, and the hotel refused to discount that night when they know it happens weekly. Next the staff would claim to make a reservation and then we'd arrive somewhere without the reservation. Finally, the bellman forgot to load one of our pieces of luggage in the taxi and when we got to the airport and realized it, the hotel said yes, they'd "found" the bag and sent another taxi with it, but made us pay for the taxi!

A professional approach to their business. As a good hotelier should be .

Central location. Comfortable hotel. Small enough to have atmosphere.

Cost. Too hot and could not cool room. Minibar was not cold. Splash guard on bath was too small so shower flooded bathroom a little.

We had a great stay at the St. Gotthard in Zurich. Its proximity to local shopping, tourist attractions, and the train station made it absolutely ideal for us.

A lack of air conditioning and the tiny elevators, both very typical for Euro hotesl, were only small issues with an otherwise great stay.

Location.The breakfast was sublime.

Excellent location - close to the train station and shopping, and just minutes from the old city and the lake. Helpful and friendly staff, and we were upgraded on check-in which was a nice surprise.

Our room over-looked Bahnhofstrasse and was a little noisy during the night - we had to leave a window open as we were unable to adjust the climate control.
