The Hotel was central to Montreux and was a lovely old building with many original features. The staff were friendly and attentive. I stayed in a room overlooking the Lake but I imagine the rooms overlooking the Station would be very noisy. The Hotel was uncomfortably warm we had the balcony door/window open and turned the radiator down. |

A beautiful Belle Epoque hotel, with gracious staff, excellent rooms and convenient for everything in Montreux We got excellent rates for a hotel of this standard because of building work, which though unsightly, did not really spoil the experience. |

Hotel was listed as lakeside, it was across a busy street from the lake. In addition in the evening you could not enter from the front, but had to go up a public escalator to enter from the street where the train station was located. A great deal of construction was taking place which made it difficult to get our bags to our car. |

The room was clean and comfortable. Without the scaffolding on the outside the view would have been nice. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The building works were very extensive. I found it hard to relax with the constant sound of hammering and so forth happening. The workers started very early in the morning at 7.15am which meant sleep was impossible after that time. From the information on your hotel I was aware that some of the rooms were undergoing renovations. However, if I had have know the hotel was undergoing re-construction, as I would call it, I would hot have stayed here. |

The hotel is located exactly in front of the Montreaux train station, so it takes only a few minutes to get in the hotel after getting off trains. The staff was very kind and friendly. Breakfast was very nice. |

The view from the rooms facing the water was breathtaking. The outdoor terrace restaurant shared this beautiful panoramic view. The hotel has an excellent location across from the train station, and close to the downtown. The food in the terrace restaurant was expensive but only mediocre in quality. The salad bar was small and the entrecote (steak) was chewy. The rooms come in comfort and deluxe designations with either a mountain or lake view. I believe that the comfort and deluxe designations are used interchangeably. The staff could not tell me the difference. We paid for the deluxe, and were given a smallish room on the 5th floor. We received a slightly larger room with hardwood flooring and a fireplace after 2 days after we complained. |

The romantic and luxury ambiance. But I was only two nights there, so I can't say very much. The breakfastbuffet was in my opinion a bit to small.. |

We last stayed here in 1989. It is a very classic style hotel which we had heard had been renovated. We had fond memories of it like a stately home. The main body still is, but the bedrooms have all had wood flooring so it has lost its comfort in my opinion. The lake view is stunning and eating out on the terrace on a balmy evening watching the sun go down was wonderful. It was winter the last time we were there! Still a lack of tea/coffee making facilities 'in the room' after all this time. We all don't want to walk to reception area to get a drink from a coffee machine to then take it up to your room on arrival from long journey. |

Good location, clean. It's a beautiful hotel but quite old. It's classed (and priced) as a four star but as time has moved on since it was built it's really more of a three star (making it over priced for what you get.) Handy if you have money to burn. |

The hotel itself was very nice, clean and the staff were helpful. The restaurant on the terrace had a splendid view, food so so. However the maintenance was not up to the standard of a 4 star hotel, beds were chipped, bathrooms were very good but there were several areas which had chipping paint, etc which I would not have expected to see. It was not sufficient to complain but I was expecting a little more. |

The hotel has the best terrace over-looking Montreux and the prices for drinks are very fair. The rooms facing the train station (no lake view) are extremely noisy as people are running around yelling and screaming the entire night!!! |

Very convenient for everything, great terrace overlooking the lake; make sure of a lake view room it is worth it. The room was very clean and comfortable and the food excellent. The exterior looked a bit tatty but that didn't affect our stay unduly. |
