Situated at Lake Geneva in the heart of Montreux, a short walk from the train station, the luxurious non-smoking Eden Palace au Lac and Residence Villa offer unforgettable lake views.
Score from 868 reviews Good
Totally refurbished in May 2010, this is a typical Belle-Époque hotel in the heart of Montreux, on the shore of Lake Geneva. It offers panoramic views and free internet access.
Score from 723 reviews Excellent
The magnificent 4-star private Villa Eden Palace Au Lac can be found in the center of Montreux, right on the shores of Lake Geneva; the hotel offers superb lake-view rooms.

Location, room, view, pool
Often musty smell in lobby and halls. Often needed to re-log on to wifi multiple times without leaving room.
Swimming pool, nice personnel
Room interior is a bit oldish, and that includes room interior, furniture etc. It's more expensive than the quality you get
The facility has a very nice belle-epoque-style und is kept very well in shape. We loved the big size of the room and the bath-room. The Hotel disposes of a real big indoor pool, wellness facilities and excellent fitness room.
The pool is unfortunately not open before 10 a.m. which does not allow to swimm before breakfast which finishes at the sime time! The second day, we had the look to have a very friendly staff member, who opened the pool at 08.30 am just for us. We were very grateful.
View from bedroom window was awesome. Interior architecture of the hotel was beautiful, again views from the various windows overlooking the lake were wonderful. Overall we enjoyed this holiday.
Service at breakfast time not good and hot food was in fact cold. Finished plates not removed from table promptly, consequently lacking space.
Large rooms all with views. Great pool.
Frequently bad smell in lobby.
Nice hotel, rooms are excellent but facilities are a bit oudated... breakfast was good enough but not excellent.... overall a good stay but not exceptional...
slow wireless, nothing great at breakfast.... poor minibar... a bit away from the center...
the setting is insanely gorgeous, which made for no regrets when booking the lakeside balcony room. Biggest plus is the lake view balconies and the view from the breakfast sun room is lovely also. Very kind and accommodating staff. We stayed a couple nights and thoroughly enjoyed the buffet breakfast each morning.
Beds were old and lumpy. Felt the springs and was a bit concerned about the mattresses' cleanliness though that ended up being fine. Just not the most comfortable. The town felt very sleepy at night, which, coupled with the fact that the hotel has seen some better days in its grand history, was a little different from what we expected. There is a medi-spa in the basement with its own elevator and staff which felt a bit eerie to us. Rich ladies were being escorted in and out of the premises.
The beautiful view of the lake
carpets are old, but I like old fashined hotels like this
Arrived after 10pm , parking was difficult , no porter to help with bag and no tea / coffee facility and restaurant shut
A wonderful feeling of the grandeur of days gone by, matched with today's mod cons. Only an overnight stay for us but would have liked to stay longer so may have to come back.
Coffee/tea facilities in the room would have got this hotel an excellent in all categories.
Excellent location, facilities, especially junior suites on ground level out to the promenade
parking on the street is chancy at best
The location is fine as the hotel is located jsut on the lake side, and you can have a ncie strall along the lake. all rooms in the hotel face the lake as the other side of the hotel is facing the rail track. But keep in mind it is around 25 min walk from the station.
The hotel is absolutely not worth the money we paid even with discounted prices. It is a really old hotel, in which most of rooms require renovation. On most of floors on lower floor there is an unpleasant stink of old stuff/swimming pool moisture. it can be quite noisy during the night as train tracks are on the other side of the hotel and you can still hear them. breakfast is nothing special and seems they want to save money. Also it was unpleasant to hear some strange comments from restaurant manager when we went for dinner in the hotel and did not order much. All in all, i would never stay in this hotel again. Actually for me, having quite a good experience with hotels, it was surprising to see this hotel is 4 starts and the price they charged per room.
Balcony view is breathtaking. Good selection of food at breakfast. Evening meal was delicious. Would definitely recommend.
Staff at the restaurant very professional and proactive.
Location on the edge of the Lake Large two bedroom and balcony
We really like the surroundings of the hotel and reasonable distance to the railway station. Comfortable hotel.
restaurant staff courtesy could improve
This hotel was amazing, huge rooms and bathroom, incredible view across the lake, wifi great, staff really helpful, great location - need I say more!!! Would love to return
Nothing - best hotel on our euro trip!
Everything. Free parking along street. Staff were great--good advise on sites to see. Great breakfast! Comfortable beds. A lovely hotel. Quiet. Will definitely stay again when in Monteaux.
-great location, on a quiet secluded part of lake Geneva, in Montreux, and close enough to walk to the city center. -we had a spacious suite which included another room for the children. -breakfast included -nice and helpful staff
-same exact breakfast during our two night weekend stay. -breakfast is only served until 10:15, even on a Sunday. It would be nice to have a later closing time, such as 11:00 so we could sleep-in a bit.
The hotel was absolutely marvelous in all respects, except one, which was of some importance to me. (See "What didn't you like")
The location of the hotel, while right on the shore of beautiful Lake Geneva, was about half a mile from the center of town. As I needed to get my meals in town, of course, it was quite a walk each time to get there and back. Other than that, the hotel itself was magnificent
The location and timeless charm of the property.
The breakfast is very expensive for what it is
brilliant location and view of the lake - room was clean and reasonable.
staff were not helpful - all room TVs were locked into "hotel mode" and could not be adjusted to hear anything in English. The restaurant food was overpriced and dreadful.
The view, the breakfast, the climate the rooms with high ceiling, the park, the walks, the lake.........
If you come from the station on foot it is misleading as it on the border of the next village. At the time we never saw any taxis .......
