Our stay at the Grand Regina hotel was perfect. The hotel was in a great location, 30 seconds walk from Grindelwald station with beuatiful views of The Eiger and surrounding mountains. Everything from the decor to the staff, rooms, facilities, spa treatments, food, was faultless. It was great to see the hotel and service from the staff was kept to a very high standard, even though it was closing down. I would certainly be staying here again if it was possible.
The hotel closing down. :(
just in front of train station
The hotel's position, the air freshness, the scenery and the food. A return after fifty years to stay in Grindelwald whilst waiting for the weather to change on the Jungfraujoch. A wonderful stay we enjoyed ourselves. The staff and in particular the restaurant staff were first rate. Thank you
There will be major reconstruction developments to the hotel site which might interfere with staying there. I am sure that the hotel will advise its clients accordingly
Position great . Staff ok Bed rooms good size Pool and sona great .
Hotel a bit dated
We liked the location and the stuff who were very helpful and nice. Ms. Rudi in charge of the dining room was kind and efficient, so were the stuff at the reception.
We have been in this hotel some years ago and were quite disappointed this time about its run down state. A five star hotel of this size has to decide whether it wants to have private guests or big and noisy groups. We were shocked to realize that big groups made the place kind of a youth hostel. In its present state this is a hotel of maximum 3 stars and should charge accordingly.
Very friendly staff, great room and view
Nothing to report
Central location Range of saunas
Tired and run down feel
Can't beat the location.
Way outdated and due for refurbishment ASAP. The Grill was closed and there wasn't even a bar.
Magnificent hotel in great location. Loved the spa and sauna facility.
Internet only worked in lobby - a hotel like this needs free internet in the rooms
Nice views, good room and bathroom, good breakfast selection, secure parking.
Didn't like having to pay to use wifi in room, much better to increase room rate and say its free :) Main bar (kings & Queens) is closed and service in lobby lounge was poor. Restaurant is closed on Tuesday nights but no one told us when we booked a DBB package and we had to go elsewhere for dinner.
Great location. Very accomodating and professional staff. We arrived late and tired and the staff accomodated out eating needs at no extra cost. I also appreciated being able to leave the car in the hotel garage will we went up the mountain for a couple of days.
This booking got off to a bad start as I tried calling unsuccessfully to confirm a few things after I had booked last minute. My origional hotel was rendered inaccessible due to a late flight. The description offering the airport tansfer needs more detail (e.g. "available with 24 hrs notice")
This hotel was perfectly situated in the charming city of Grindelwald, Austria. We rented one of the family suites in the Regina Haus and it was wonderful. We traveled with 3 teenage girls and this room provided us with plenty of space for them to "get ready". The hotel had a wonderful breakfast each morning that was included in the price and definitely filled us up for the start of the day. There is so much to do in Grindelwald and the Grand Hotel Regina was the perfect place to stay.
very nice hotel
but not good location.
Staff, location, food, spa
it needs renovation....
Excellent location. Wonderfully attentive staff and superb food.
Everything! This is a beautiful, gracious hotel and the staff is wonderful.
Great family rooms, very friendly staff, excellent spa facilities, and the location
Pretty much everything
It was all good, but expensive!!
It's lovely to,go to an hotel and find it consistently good, always a pleasure to visit, wonderful staff, delicious food.
Location is exellent service very good
The pool and Spa facilities were excellent a real treat, also there were a few nice touches such as afternoon tea and they dealt with the ski passes etc, the views are of the charts.
The location was good, and the staff very friendly, the spa was good but very expensive.
The room was far to hot, panoramic view included a building crane, bathroom was very plastic, no tea making facilities in the room, and not a good selection for breakfast.
The Wellness Clinic was excellent for after skiing - loved the 6 different saunas and bath. Room temperature was perfect, often hotel rooms are far too hot. Location great.
Having to pay for internet in our room - these days, internet should just be included for free - especially at the room rates paid at Hotel Regina
The staff is very friendly! The food is amazing, with a really nice view in the restaurant. The view from the room is really good too. Its very close to the train station.
