Hotel De La Paix

Staff was helpful and gave me an electric adaptor.

Room was rather small, dirty and full of dust. Dirty windows, toilet seat was broken. No shower soap provided. In my view this hotel is absolutely unworthy of a four star rating, and the price charged (not even including free wireless internet!) is ridiculous if compared to the lack of cleanliness and low quality of the whole.

The hotel is impressive when you enter, the reception staff are friendly and helpful. The bar area and terrace are attractive and a place to relax after a busy (in my case working) day. The pizzeria serves good food which is reasonably priced and is open till late. The breakfast buffet is varied and attractive, diners also have the chance to take their breakfast on the terrace, a pleasant way to start the day! I particularly welcomed the ample car parking facilities.

The pool area was apparently not attended to during the day. There were used glasses, towels and newspapers which had not been cleared away, some of which had been there since the morning.

We had a wonderful stay in this hotel. Got a room with balcony with extraordinary beautiful view on the lake. The buffet breakfast is excellent, especially as one can eat outside, next to the green. Hotel has its own parking space. Next time we are in Lugano we choose this hotel again

The hotel could be refreshed but the bathroom was quite new. However a problem with the water heater forced everyone to take cold showers on Sunday morning. This felt more like a 3 * hotel.

There terrace is nice, although you cannot sea the lake from there unless you stand in a small corner on the side!

I didn't find the staff at the reception helpful at all!! I can't imagine they don't speak English, but they've given me a hard time every time I had to ask them about something. The breakfast staff was very nice though.

Central convenient location to the motorway and to the centre of Lugano. We were also given an upgrade which we greatly appreciated.

I liked the excellent service - hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, and the room was very clean and comfortable.

My room smelled so much like cigarettes that was almost unbareable. The walls are so thin that I could hear strange noices

I'm afraid but the interior design of the room and hallways like furniture, pictures and frames, carpet and bedsheets are in my opinion out of date

Mycket trevlig och samarbetsvillig personal. Bra frukost som tillfredställer de flesta. Läget är centralt.

El servicio en el restaurante y bar

No habia calefacción!!!, ibamos con nuestro bebe de tres meses y se congelaba, el director del hotel no autorizo que se prendiera la calefacción, estando a finales de Octubre con 5° C durante la noche, fue horrible, estuvimos toda la noche preocupados por el bb
