The wifi worked beautifully and we also enjoyed having some English TV channels to choose from. Our bathroom was spacious with great water pressure and checking in was simple as our keys and welcom pack were left at the front desk on our arrival.
The apartment was over heated to a point where we had to sleep with a window open in the middle of winter just to breathe. The Kitchen was equipped with most of the basics although it was very tiny and with only one plug socket, so using the coffee machine and toaster at the same time was impossible. Also we were missing a plug in our sink so washing dishes was extremely difficult. We found the beds uncomfortable and the pillows were fla, without any puff. Be warned, our credit card was debited under the name of Hotel Astoria, which resulted in me phoning Booking.com to verify if in fact this was Hotel Appartement La Perle - I was told that it was definitely not. However I investigated further and found out that Hotel Astoria is a "sister" hotel and that credit cards are debited through this establishment. This is something they should advise you about as I very nearly lodged a fraud claim which would have likely resulted in my booking being voided.
Close proximity to the train and ski stations Good value for money
Ski room was not locked and didn't look safe.
Unhelpful staff regarding the hearing.
My stay was great!
This is our third stay at La Perle and as always the staff were brilliant. Despite our initial problem (not usual at all!) the hotel staff were incredibly apologetic and helpful. We will definitely be going back!
There was a very strange smell and we asked to be moved. We were offered 2 rooms in the Hotel Astoria with breakfast as the other apartments were full. We were very impressed with the speed and friendliness that the staff dealt with us.
Location was 5 mins from station, clean apartment, spacious enough
V basic kitchen, no oven, no basic stuff like salt and pepper, not a 4 star, overall it worked fine for us but not 4 star
The apartment was very close to the train station. The room was a good size for our family and the place was very clean. They were able to provide a plug adapter when mine wasn't working.
The reception desk was at another hotel which was about a 12 minute walk. You can also call during business hours, but I needed to visit the front desk. Luckily, I happened to catch an employee at the building who was able to give me a ride.
Location is a quiet residential section of Zermatt. Only a short walk from the train station. Large rooms, nice kitchenette.
No on-site staff, we had no issues, but if you did, it would be a hassle.
Not enough electrical outlets. Couldn't contact front desk at hotel Astoria where we were told we could get help. Heating element in bathroom didn't work.
Great location close to train station but still had a great view and was quiet. Complete self-sufficient Lots of room
We stayed overnight before the Zermatt marathon. The location was good - not far from the start of the half marathon and the start. The room was spacious and comfortable. We didn't actually have any contact with the staff but everything was organized and ready for us. Good value for Zermatt.
It is walking distance from the Zermatt railway station
-the heating was not working, after a complain and "repair", it still did not work -the kettle was not working -there wasn't enough toiletries, only a single piece of soap for the whole apartment
Location. Friendly staff. nicely sized apartment.
great location and size of room
V. good location, 10min walk from the railway. The suit is comfortable enough for 4 people. Large balconies...
Wifi not the best. TV mostly in German...
The location is very near the town center and easily accessible by walking. The kitchen had complete utensils and cooking equipments. Staff very helpful and friendly. Fast wifi
It was very large living room with little kitchen so I can cook.
a bit far from train station but can walk around 10 mins.
A place to avoid. No laundry facilities at all. Not even a nearby place!. Poorly managed. No heating, even after complaining couldn't correct it. The kettle was broken, no shower gel, no hand wash and just one small piece of soap for the whole apartment ! Shame -family from UK
View, location, price competitive
Central location for train trips and journeys to view Matterhorn.
We made a very last minute decision to travel to Zermatt, so for only planning one day in advance, we were happy with our stay. My husband and I slept on the fold down beds in the living room and my parents slept in a regular bed in the bedroom. It was very close to the train station (about 5 minutes walking- you do not need to take a taxi as the reception suggested to me) and the Gornergrat Bahn railway station.
It was a bit cold in the apartment. We had turned on the radiator heat to the highest setting in all the rooms but by morning the heaters were still cold. We would have called reception to ask about it but we got to our room late and were only there one night.
It was the best hotel I stayed at during my two weeks in Europe. Everything about it was amazing
During my one day stay, the only staff I saw was the driver who transported us to the hotel. Since the reception is at another hotel, there was an impersonal feel to it
