The hotel is very well situated and our room was quite charming and comfortable. Excellent water pressure in shower- great after a long hike. Breakfast was fine, especially if weather permits balcony veranda seating. Staff were simply outstanding. Great comparative value for the area; we will return. A minor point: a mini-bar or fridge would be a a big plus. A grat central location also means a fair amount of noise, from the street/alley/interior courtyard-parking garage and an old elevator- it appears that Grindelwald has an active (all)-night life! |

It was a lovely hotel in a pretty little town, great breakfast and a wonderful restaurant across the street Hard to comment on value for money with dollar/franc exchange rate so abysmal... Would suggest providing good detailed map of the area, always got lost going in and out of bern. Also, could never get a room for 4 in switzerland, yet when we checked in there were two beds and a set of bunkbeds in the room.... Were told they were for young children would have been fine for our older kids |

The furnishings in the room including a built-in safe. At first they did not want to honor my request for a room with a view of the Eiger at the price quoted for the room. Due to the location of the hotel, there were not many rooms with a view of the Eiger. |

The hotel staff was very kind and helpfull after we arrived in the hotel. I had some problems to reach Grindelwald, due to some snow which close some roads. The hotel staff knew I was coming from Italy, and could have warned me about this issue. |

The original room was very nice however the room offered for the last night (which was requested after the booking) was not very nice and we checked out on that day instead of staying. The hotel was nice and didn't charge us. However I think they should have told us that the room wasn't very nice before offering it for the same price as the other room which had a view and was larger. |

Excellent choice, very helpful staff, excellent buffet breakfast with friendly service, quiet, close enough to walk to train station with luggage but far enough away to avoid train noise. My husband is tall and the canopy-type bed with a footboard, of course, was too short for him. |

Front desk clerk was very helpful in providing suggestions for local attractions. Room was centrally located in the town - easy to walk everywhere. |
