Hotel Hofgarten Luzern

The Hofgarten is central enough to get in and out of the city on foot and yet being located in a side street it is away from busy town traffic.The staff were extremely helpful and very able to converse in a range of languages. They were also able to offer useful advice about planning trips and excursions in the Lucerne area.We used the restaurant frequently for dinner and found it to be of excellent quality (The hotel prides itself on the use of fresh locally sourced produce). Vegetarians are well catered for. The buffet breakfasts were substantial and kept you going throughout the day until lunch. All the food was of very good quality but pricey but then so is the whole of Switzerland and to be fair the Hofgarten offered excellent value.

The proximity of the Hofkirche with its clock bells striking 24/7 on the quarters and the hours could be intrusive but the local hoteliers are canvassing the church elders for some appropriate compromise action. We did not find it especially intrusive after a few days.

The hotel is in a great position for the city. The restaurant is excellent and the staff very friendly.

Travelling with a friend, I had booked a twin bedded room. They showed us to a double bed room which was lovely but the twin bed room they then gave us was tired and small. There was only a shower no bath. There were a lot of stairs on our floor which would not suit young children or elderly people.

Un petit appartement pour une grande chambre, c'était une bonne surprise. Très agréable de pouvoir se faire un café ou un thé le soir.

Dommage que belle église sonne tous les 1/4 d'heure.

Forstår ikke, at det er et kategori 4 hotel. Interiør og størrelse på værelse svarer ikke helt til min oplevelse af et kategori 4 hotel.

Lo staff è stato cordialissimo, l'hotel si trova a pochi passi sia dal centro storico che dai negozi, e anche il lago dei Quattro Cantoni è a pochi passi

Purtroppo le stanze danno sulla strada e di notte c'è molto rumore. Per non parlare delle campane della chiesa che suonano, notte e giorno, ogni quarto d'ora

Especialment la cuina de l'htel. Restaurant molt recomenable.

la cortesia del personale e l'estrema tranquillità godibile anche di giorno. abbiamo apprerzzato anche il notevole spazio offerto dalla camera.

Sehr freundliches Personal mit zuvorkommender Bedienung. Kleines, aber feines und schönes Hotel in angenehmer Umgebung. Kurze Wegstrecke bis zum See und in die Innenstadt.

ホテルと一緒にあるレストランがとても雰囲気が良くておいしく、地元でも人気のようだった。朝食もおいしか- った。街中の便利なところにありながら、にぎやかな旧市街からは離れた静かな場所にあった点も良かった。

バスタブがなかった。
