Spacious, clean room. Near the castle and other sites we wanted to see. Breakfast was great!

Person at front desk was not very service minded at check in. She was not very helpful or efficient.

I like everything about Switzerland's countryside--sound of cowbells, church bells, clean air, views, local food and wine, singing marmots, cheese--and more. We did not even mind the lashing rain on Saturday and the bitter cold on both days. We slept well thata night.

The only room we could get was a quadruple room--actually two rooms, but only one had a bathroom, which meant that those in the adjacent room had to either interrupt the others or go to the extreme end of the hallway to use a public toilet. That was an inconvenience.

Terrific location just outside town's walls. It's an old style hotel. Our standard double room is fine but on the small side. Breakfast very good, a good selection of bread and some local treats.

Needs better lighting in for for reading.

Very nice the location and all the people was with a friendly but professional attitude. Rooms are simple but very confortables.

The hotel was always clean, all the staff from cleaners to management were friendly and happy yo help. The breakfasts were good with a range of things. stunning views! (if you pay a little extra, but well worth it) A lovely experience.

The beds and pillows were a bit too soft for us, but thats just personal preference..

The place is beautiful, very close (walking distance) to the town of Gruyeres. Beautiful views, very comfortable. Parking available. Delicious Breakfast

A bit expensive

Location is excellent and gorgeous views of the mountains or the castle

No tea and coffee making facilities in the room

I liked the ambience, the comfort, the provincial village feel, the staff, the view, the location and just about everything else. I unfortunately overslept and missed breakfast, but the kind lady at the front desk offered to make me breakfast separately (which I had to politley turn down as I was on a schedule and had to leave). All in all, I loved my stay here and look forward to returning.

I cannot think of anything I did not like.

I missed a normal shower in the bathroom.

Nice breake fast with main caurse which is cheese at the vellage of cheese.its amazing view to the mountain and cows,gaot and birds its really the nature saund Just take your breath...

Parking is to small side to side

Very nice people,impressive landscape and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are small but extremely well decorated with wooden ceilings and parquet and flowers everywhere, on balconies, windows and iron reelings. The beds are new and confortable and the bathroom had a good shower. Everything was perfectly clean.

The walls between the rooms are a little bit too thin, some people may be disturbed by the noise of steps or water running in nearby bathrooms early in the morning..

Best view from any hotel room I have ever stayed in!

It was very conveniently located with respect to Gruyeres in a pleasant setting just outside the town walls. A very nice breakfast was included.

Lovely facility within walking distance to the Castle and its attractions. Very nice walk to our resteraunt from the hotel as well. We also recieved a discount on our meal from the hotel receptionist at checkin. Breakfast was excellent in the dining room in the hotel the next morning, probably the best of our two week stay in Europe, and without a doubt the largest.

The location was absolutely perfect - you are right within walking distance of the pedestrianized old village and the castle, but far enough away to be quiet, with a parking area that means you don't have to haul your bag up the cobbled streets. Nice ambiance - I fell asleep to the sound of cow and sheep bells.

The room was a little small - bed took up most of the floor - but that is not unusual in European hotels.

Staff was really helpful when assistance was needed. Views from the hotel are amazing.

Reception staff exceedingly accommodating needs and requests.

Help from staff with luggage would have been appreciated.

The hotel is in a wonderful location being in walking distance to the town of Gruyeres. We had a view of the castle from 1 of our rooms. The staff was incredibly attentive. We loved our visit.
