Vanuit de kamer een schitterend uitzicht op de bergen. Verder was het kasteel en museum plus bijbehorend stadje naast de deur. Ontbijt was goed. Oud hotel. Personeel sprak geen woord Engels. Restaurant was gesloten (voorgoed, bleek later). Kamer was klein. Prijs is way over the top voor wat het hotel vandaag de dag is! |

De badkamer was netjes en compleet ingericht De geboekte kamer was erg klein, naast het bed was er bijna geen ruimte om te lopen, en er was geen plaats voor de koffer. |

schitterende locatie Vergane glorie in zijn volle omvang. Kamers nog kleiner dan gedacht, en bijzonder armoedig ingericht. Restaurant niet meer in gebruik. Foto's en beschrijving op website kloppen niet met werkelijkheid. Op de locatie na, een grote afknapper. |

Lekkere bedden. Er was een personeelslid dat Hollands sprak. Zij was met een 'local' getrouwd. Heel aardige mevrouw, tijdje mee staan praten (ook in het Frans). Wel wat kleine kamers (maar ja, wij zijn Amerika gewend). Ook de parking was klein. |

Het uitgebreid ontbijt voldeed aan alle verwachtingen. Rustig gelegen hotel in mooie omgeving. Vrij makkelijk te bereiken met het openbaar vervoer. |

Zeer mooi gelegen in een prachtige omgeving. Ondanks de drukbezochte plaats toch rustig. Het ontbijt is dik in orde. |

Soepelheid bij omboeking kamer. Rustige locatie ondanks toeristische drukte in directe omgeving. De kamer, gekozen/geboekt via Booking.Com, was slechts voorzien van een schuin dakraam en daardoor, mede door de inrichting vrij donker. Goed voor een nacht, maar niet voor een week. |

Chalet-style decoration. Staffs were helpful. Room doens't keep noise well. So we can hear our neighbor talking. |

The room was small but perfectly adequate. The decorations were very pleasing. The bathroom was fine, very good towels. The breakfast buffet was excellent. the location is lovely, just outside the walls, with lovely views of the valley. |

Friendliness and helpful nature of staff. Very clean. Breakfast excellent. Again difficult access upon reaching railroad station and the return trip. However your staff persisted and found us a taxi cab to get to Bulle in order to get train to Geneva. |

The hotel has a lot of charm and looks great from every angle. Its warm and cozy.Its also at a great location just above the car park at the entrance to Gruyeres. At night there are shutters that creek and slam and it can get noisy. Also I didn't like the pillows and would have appreciated more choice at breakfast. |

A very nice, comfortable hotel with a beautiful view of the mountains and just a few steps away from the quaint little town of Gruyeres. The staff was friendly & very helpful. The breakfast buffet was wonderful; it was the best we had during our 2-week stay in Europe. Will definitely visit again! |

Hotel was ideally located in Gruyeres, though slightly off the main tourist beat, giving it some quiet and seclusion compared with the o. ther hotels. Had spectacular views on both sides of the hotel, and they offered a wonderful breakfast. Had almost a bed-and-breakfast appeal to it. |

The location was unbeatable with incredible snow capped mountains and rolling green hills with a herd of dear right below the hotel. We could see the Chateau and the church, which made it very picturesque. I know it's a custom in Europe to use duvets on the beds, but I was so hot using them that I ended up using the thin duvet cover, which had a scratchy kind of feeling. Of all the hotels we stayed at in Switzerland, this hotel had the least impressive breakfast. |

This was my second visit to this hotel this year. The location of the hotel is fantastic, over looking the snow coverd mountains and Chateau Gruyeres. The staff are friendly and the breakfast is excellent. The rooms are in need of updating, but are comfortable and clean. |
