Good location just outside of the town walls of picturesque town of La Gruyere. Lots of things to see and do in the area. Very friendly staff and nice breakfast at the hotel. This a place I want to return.

Family room was very small. You could hear people from the other rooms. We had only one window to the roof.

There was no tea or coffee facilities in the bedroom.

The town of Gruyeres is wonderful. It is surrounded by mountains and is everything you imagined Switwerland to be. This being said, it is also swamped by tourists. By staying here overnight you can enjoy the town without the crowd. Hotel Des Chevaliers is in a perfect location, it is just outside the town walls. The town is very small and closed to traffic, all tourists must park at the bottom of the hill and walk into the town. This hotel has private parking. Go to the top of the hill and ask the police man where to park, you will be directed to a small path in front of the hotel, cross the small bridge and park within the gates. The rooms are small, but some have lovely balconies. We sat outside in the evenings and had wine and cheese. Some balconies have views of the mountains. Request those. The rooms are very small. We booked two doubles, one regular and one a superior double. Both came with one bed and no extra space for another or a pullout sofa. I was not able to differentiate the two rooms in terms of space or comfort. The superior had an extra window towards the mountains. The bathrooms are spacious and clean. Traveling with children: The hotel has baby chairs in the breakfast room and has everything a child might like to eat. The hotel does not have a restaurant during the day, it is only open for breakfast, so take snacks if you need them. Ice and hot water are available. I saw several families struggling with strollers, you need to go uphill and on cobblestones.

Very poor service at reception, offensive decorations, plain rooms and no restaurant not a good value for money.

Very good location right next to town. The rooms were clean, quaint and the staff was quite helpful. The breakfast was quite good, offering lots of options. Overwall, we enjoyed our stay.

We had a family room and a double room (without a view). The family room was great. The double room, while very clean, was quite small. It was fine for one night but I would not book it for a lengthy stay. Otherwise, all was good.

This is a superb hotel in an outstanding location on the edge of the medieval village of Gruyeres with wonderful mountain views.

Charming and with a lift; we were fortunate to find a place in the small parking lot.

We only stayed for the night but it was a very pleasant experience.

The location of the hotel was perfect for visiting both the castle and the h r Giger museum and, because of this we were able to walk everywhere.

Nice quiet hotel in an excellent location in Gruyeres. Delicious breakfast and great service.

It was very convenient to the town center given that it is not possible to utilize a car inside the city. There was private parking.

The room was too small and there was not any space to open the suitcases.

The hotel is very agreeable, perfectly situated a minute's walk away from the main street, and with fantastic views across the valley. The room was comfortable and big enough for our needs. The staff are charming and helpful. We will definitely be returning to this delightful village and this ideal hotel.
