Hostellerie Saint Georges ligt in het hart van het middeleeuwse dorpje Gruyères, in de schaduw van het oude kasteel. Het biedt gratis WiFi en gratis parkeergelegenheid in de buurt. Alle kamers bieden uitzicht op de vallei of het dorp en hebben een badkamer en satelliettelevisie. Elke kamer draagt de naam van een belangrijke persoon uit de laatste vijf eeuwen van de geschiedenis van Gruyères. Lokatie in de burcht van Gruyers, vlakbij het kasteel is perfect. Aan de achterkant mooi uitzicht over de omgeving. De prijskwaliteitverhouding klopt niet, de prijs voor de kamer is veel te hoog voor wat men biedt. Het meubilair is oud en versleten en de bedden zijn te kort voor mensen vanaf 1.80 M.

Prachtige setting, wij komen hier graag nog eens terug, dertig jaar en twintig jaar geleden troffen we dezelfde prima service en plek voor inspiratie. Wij misten een service voor de bagage. Een paar honderd meter omhoog met koffers is vervelend. Maar dat kleine minpuntje mag de positieve ervaringen nauwelijks drukken.

prachtig gelegen in Gruyeres, een virtuele ansichtkaart in de Zwitserse bergen. Leuk hotelletje, vriendelijke mensen en perfect gelegen aan het middeleeuwse dorpsplein. Kamer was nogal klein en basic.

Mooi gelegen in het historische centrum van Gruyeres, simpel maar goed ontbijt. spijtig,toevallig was het restaurant en de bar gesloten de dagen dat wij er waren. kamerprijs was zeker duur genoeg.

Great location and a friendly staff. The view from the breakfast room is fantastic. All the dairy products are local Gruyeres products and that made the breakfast really special. The stairs are steep and narrow and the ceilings are a bit low. But still, a very pleasant place to stay and very convenient.

Great location, staff were fantastic, food was good. Room small but more than adequate. Pricing in line with Swiss prices. There were lots of flies in the dining room which was a little off putting. They really need to sort this out. We didnt go in summer so not really sure why they were there.

Lovely view. Very nice staff. Good base for visiting other interesting towns. Difficulty parking during day since there is no car traffic allowed and the parking lots are a good walk up to town and can get filled up. Would recommend as long as visitors are aware of parking situation.

The hotel is in an excellent location, the staff are very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good for the hotel price range and we felt that it was good value. The facilities were excellent in the hotel and our rooms other than the beds, see below. Our only disappointment and the cause for a lower rating for comfort were the beds. The mattresses are very uncomfortable and the springs old and sagging. New smooth and firm mattresses would make all the difference and the bed is the central part of comfort.

We had a wonderful stay here, I cant recommend enough, it was beautiful. Lovely room, you have a great view no matter what room you have, its clean and staff are friendly. Love it here!

The staff was very friendly and helping. They have stairs only to move your luggage up to second floor, it was hard on the narrow and round stairs.

Great location. Could explore the town from the loation. Great breakfast. Great beds with nicely decorated sheets and headframe. Great shower! Lots of pressure, big and tiled. We extended our stay to two nights because we love it so much. Nothing. It was a highlight of our trip, nothing location and hotel itself.

As American visitors to the area, we were impressed with the friendly, helpful service we were provided with. The room was very clean and comfortable and we would highly recommend it. As a matter of fact, we have shared the information with family who may visit too.
