Located in the heart of the medieval village of Gruyères, in the shadow of the ancient castle, is the Hostellerie Saint-Georges. It offers free Wi-Fi and free parking nearby. Great location and a friendly staff. The view from the breakfast room is fantastic. All the dairy products are local Gruyeres products and that made the breakfast really special. The stairs are steep and narrow and the ceilings are a bit low. But still, a very pleasant place to stay and very convenient.

Great location, staff were fantastic, food was good. Room small but more than adequate. Pricing in line with Swiss prices. There were lots of flies in the dining room which was a little off putting. They really need to sort this out. We didnt go in summer so not really sure why they were there.

Lovely view. Very nice staff. Good base for visiting other interesting towns. Difficulty parking during day since there is no car traffic allowed and the parking lots are a good walk up to town and can get filled up. Would recommend as long as visitors are aware of parking situation.

The hotel is in an excellent location, the staff are very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good for the hotel price range and we felt that it was good value. The facilities were excellent in the hotel and our rooms other than the beds, see below. Our only disappointment and the cause for a lower rating for comfort were the beds. The mattresses are very uncomfortable and the springs old and sagging. New smooth and firm mattresses would make all the difference and the bed is the central part of comfort.

We had a wonderful stay here, I cant recommend enough, it was beautiful. Lovely room, you have a great view no matter what room you have, its clean and staff are friendly. Love it here!

The staff was very friendly and helping. They have stairs only to move your luggage up to second floor, it was hard on the narrow and round stairs.

Great location. Could explore the town from the loation. Great breakfast. Great beds with nicely decorated sheets and headframe. Great shower! Lots of pressure, big and tiled. We extended our stay to two nights because we love it so much. Nothing. It was a highlight of our trip, nothing location and hotel itself.

The staff were by far the best part of the hotel. They were all really friendly and keen to help. I was holidaying alone so this made my holiday very good. I would highly recommend this hotel due to the lovely atmosphere and peacefulness of it I would have liked there to have been a bath in the room and it was always very hot in the room although the weather wasn't too hot.
