Acquarello Swiss Quality Hotel    

The general umpression was not as good as it described.

However, the location is far from the parking but very close to the city center, restaurants, shops and all facilities. They provide whatever you need.

No air condition and the room was very small. Parking far and very expensive. Very expensive comparing the benefits.

Good location

Sounds from cable car (working hours from 5.20 am till 24 pm) can cause disturbance.

The funicular just outside the window - the noise was no problem - and a unique memory for us

Just how expensive Lugano is - its not a place for average people to linger!

We liked the location, at the bottom of the funicular. Staff were very friendly and helpfull. Lugano is beautiful. The gardens and park are worth a visit.

Location was excellent

Difficult to find. Parking arrangements would be better if explained ahead so that you could go directly to carpark.

Position is excellent, the stuff is very efficient and friendly, breakfast is good, parking is nearby, 1 minute to the railway station, all the commerces are near, excellent quality-price ratio! Will come again only to Acquarello!

Location is great!

The room was very clean.

The faniculer out side is very nosy th all hotel is shaking and it start to work at 6:00 am and finish at 23:00 pm. I was one night so i could suffer it.

Good quality breakfast at a reasonable price. Easy to locate as we had elderly parents with us.

The only good things in the hotel is the location and the reception staff, they are very helpful and willing to assist you with the city trip. Location is very very good. near the train station, boat station, a lot of shopping and restaurants.

Hotel's facilities are too bad and old, there is an air condition but very old system, I had to change my room twice because there was a lot of water on the floor coming from the IC, with a bad smell,

The staff were efficient, helpful & mostly multi-lingual. The location was extremely central to the main shopping/ sightseeing district, lake, cafes & funicular to the main station. I imagine that it can be noisy if a room is adjacent to the funicular. I asked on arrival for a room on the other side of the hotel & it was very quiet, no problems.

As with everything in Switzerland this hotel is expensive for what you get. The room was so cramped that I couldn't open my case on the floor & the bed was right against a huge, noisy, floor based air-conditioner. It was cheaply fitted out & quite dingy. The lobby/ cafe area is very cheap, drab & untidy looking.

Noisy, no AC, expensive.

This hotel is conveniently located by the tram between the water and the train station.

It is right next to the funicular which takes you to the train station which is great if you have luggage and you need to catch a train the next morning.

Just make sure you ask for a quiet room as it is right next to the funicular. No air conditioning but they do provide desk fans. I didn't need it so it was no big deal.

The only thing its just in the heart of the city center of LUGANO.The bad thing is the staff of this hotel all of them women and not friendly at all.....!

Room no air conditioning during hot summer day, furnitures, shower cabinet etc need to be renewed
