Very clean hotel in a great location convenient to the train, and the lake, with a very helpful, friendly multi-lingual front desk staff. The room was clean, well appointed, and quiet Only downside was reception closes from 11pm till 7am which made leaving at 6am a little tricky. |

Great location in the heart of Lugano. The funicular to the train station is literally steps from the front door of the hotel. Breakfast buffet was average to above average. Our room was painfully hot. Luckily the room was supplied with an air conditioner... which was painfully loud and woke myself and my wife up a number of times in the middle of the night. The bed only had one tiny pillow per person, and one very thin bedsheet. Not a comfortable sleep. |

Very helpful and friendly staff,Easy to locate and in the center, I was at 5th floor and funicular noise was minimum - didn't hear it at all. Loved the breakfast. Great balance of price and comfort. |

They had a small fitness center available, which was very convenient. The breakfast was spare but tasty. Location very close to waterfront and shopping area. It is right next to the funicular and it is very loud. Sounds like thunder about every 15 minutes. Also, the walls were thin and you could hear everyone in the hall and other rooms. |

Pleasant and very helpful staff, central to town, clean room, reasonably quiet, good value for money. The breakfast was basic, the room overheated, (though opening the window solved this problem) and when I asked about the airconditioning (for the summer) they are in dispute with the local council so cannot switch it on, though they would provide a "pinguino" (portable unit) - if the summer is hot - I suspect the rooms would be stuffy. |

Not much, but it is quite cheap for Lugano. Lots of hot water. Funicular runs past the window until midnight but starts again at 5.20am. Coach parties stay there and are noisy in the corridors as they leave early. |
