rooms were very dark. curtains were grey.
Very good hotel with consistent quality service; in the red light district, but clearly stated and room is very comfortable and the staff is very pleasant.
Staff was very helpful Breakfast was great Location excellent
Bed not comfortable TV was broken It seems that I acquired some kind of insect/bug bites all over one leg. I wonder if it could have bed...
Location, Break Fast of the Hotel was excellent. Overall value for money.
Hotel a little compact & lift small.
Good quality for the price.
Friendly and professionnal Staff
Hotel surrounded by sex shops and located almost in sex workers market place.
Easy parking, remarkably cheap accomodation for Geneva, short walk to lake and city centre, free local travel pass (including water taxis), receptionist very helpful on arrival although she gave us incorrect breakfast times (see below)
Morning receptionist very rudely denied us the breakfast that we had paid for as we were ten minutes late, despite the fact that her colleague had given us incorrect times the night before. On departure twenty minutes later we noted that they were still serving! Of greater concern was the location in a red light zone and next to a sex shop, so we had to thread our way past prostitutes and pimps to access the hotel. Not a nice experience. Interesting that this hasn't been mentioned by other reviewers!
Staff was fantastic, attentive, good-humored. Location is excellent, very central - just a few minutes by foot from central train station on one side and lake on the other. It's just on the edge of the slightly seedy, mildly-red-light district. But honestly, it's not an issue unless you have an issue with a few adult-video shops here and there. (PS: I'm a solo female traveler, never felt unsafe in the area at night.)
Wifi in the room (2nd fl) was weak, so I had a little trouble working online at night.
The room was cleaned despite the other issues.
Location. The hotel is near a red district neighborhood, though very closed to the "jardin anglais". The hotel is old, the room smelled weird
First, this hotel is not in a "red light" district! The reviews that say this are stupid! And it's those type of comments that feed into people's fear and might be a determining factor in their choice of hotel. I doubt they have ever been to such a district. There are a couple sex shops but there was no loitering and very little noise. It shouldn't sway you from staying there, honestly! I travelled alone, a single female and felt the area totaly and completely safe! The location and convenience to the train station make up for the sex shops that I barely paid mind to! Second, bottom line, hotels in Geneva are over priced! But that being said, this hotel is fabulous for the money! All the reviews about the great breakfast are spot on! It is one of the best breakfasts I've had in Europe for a small hotel! Third, the staff are wonderful, very helpful! To sum things up; it's a cozy, conveniently located hotel with an awesome breakfast and friendly, accommodating staff. Don't hesitate to stay here!
Nothing, it was all good.
Location, very helpful staff and breakfast. Definitely worth a repeat.
A bit noisy but not surprising given location.
Breakfast was one of the best I have seen, lots of selections.
Although the location is great, the area at night can be loud.
The staff was friendly and breakfast was good. I believe it is a reasonable place to stay in Geneva.
Breakfast was very good. The check in girl was very helpful and friendly. Centrally located and easy access to train station.
The internet connection is super slow and rooms are dark - with only small lamps. Hotel elevator fits 1 person only.
The staff tried to be helpful but had little or no support
Bathroom smelled like urine. Room smelled stale and musty. The air conditioner and fan were broken. The shower head was hanging off the wall by a screw. The bed was hard. Prostitutes are working the street in front of the hotel. Young men on the corner were selling marijuana.
Good location near City centre, however in red light district so people with families beware!
Helpful staff, good breakfast, central location, we enjoyed our stay.
during of night receptionist controlled my guest if he want sleep or not-) like in children garden poor WiFI connection
Very friendly staff Value for money
Close to train station (3-5 min walk), nice and clean room, fast, stable & free WiFi, minibar and tea-making facilities, TV, quite rich and free breakfast buffet. Overall very good standard
All hotels around the main train station are in/near a red-light district and it can be a little noisy outside.
water in toilet stayed for 2days room not clean
Next door to adult shop
Excellent breakfast, clean and good location.
Very inflexible about check out, despite my staying there for an entire week. I was able to negotiate only a 15-min extension! Never had seen such inflexibility in hotel management. Employees at the front desk could also be a bit more friendly. The cleaning personnel is very helpful and friendly, though.
Very close to the lake, vey clean and comfy !!!
The blond old women not very agreeable
