Allegra is reachable by train and is very close to air port, which makes it very convenient for us because we had a early flight the next day. And it's very good to provide free internet (wired), while many hotels in Switzerland doesn't have.

Very close to airport and free shuttle to and from airport. Train station is almost like being in the hotel itself. Very easy to reach to the main city through the train. Room is very very big and spacious. Overall good.

We stayed only one night at the hotel to take an early flight from Zurich airport, for which the hotel providing a family room with 4 beds was ideal. The shuttle bus service at 5am was very convenient.

Location: Very convenient shuttle bus service to and from the airport. A plus, as their location is just right next to Kloten train station, a 15 minutes ride to Zurich hb (City centre) station, where u can switch to get a train to Zurich Flughafen too. So u have plenty of choices to get to the airport, shuttle service and also the train. *Although its located right nxt to the train station, rooms are all located on the other side of the building facing a quiet swiss street, so dont worry about being annoyed by noise coming from the trains. Service: Very cheerful and helpful receptionist with smiles all the time. Room: Well designed modern interior, very new furniture. Yup, u get a free bottle of water upon check-in :) **although pricey as always, they provide in- room f&b service :) impressive Toilet: Interior, nice :) very cleaan. Basic amenities provided, but toothbrush, comb and one more (I forgot), u gotta get it from the reception (no additional charge no worries) Breakfast: Its Swiss style breakfast. Do not expect an international buffet at 5-star hotel, its Swiss and u should enjoy that! A typical swiss style bk with cheese, croissant, caotina hot chocolate (all kinds of flavour), perfect coffee machine of various coffee of ur choise (cappuccino, latte.. U name it), boiled/scrambled eggs, swiss pork sausages was what I had that day, cereals.... considered real value-for-money in such pricey country. really :) A teeny tiny little lacky: ventilation @ the bathroom. But not a big problem at all actually. A little noisy early morning, in the room, when i guess many were packing early to catch early flights. Soundproof problem? But sometimes, people get stressed prior to catching a flight, so a bit of bingbangs, its ok :)

we stayed only for a very short night as we had an early flight next morning. first shuttle to the airport starts at 5 a.m.! This was a litte too late for us so we had to ask for a taxi - which worked perfectly and we were picked up right on time. hotel was perfect, found all we wished for, even had a kettle in the room and a portable air conditioning-appliance (which we didnt use). Staff is friendly and professional. Thumbs up!

Proximity to airport. Shuttle every 15 mins, right on time. Nice room design. Quick check-in/check-out. Shuttle to airport stops at 2 other hotels, thus making the trip about 7 minutes longer (about 13 minutes total, at 5am). Not a problem unless you are (like us) on a very tight schedule to catch your flight.

I have stayed at the Allegra several times before, on business and now as a retiree and was greeted by name as I checked-in. I chose the Allegra for its central location near Zurich airport; the free shuttle-bus; free in-room Internet, modern and comfortable room, bathroom and empty fridge; ironing facilities on each floor; the choice of continental or buffet breakfast is welcome; in-room standing fan, a must for summer stays! I had never stayed here in summer so did not notice that the rooms had no air-conditioning, though there was a fan. My room (316|) was 3 floors above the main entrance and a few rooms' away from the outdoor patio. The night I stayed there, a group of male guests were very loud, obviously enjoying themselves, way past the 22h00 Swiss "curfew", until 23h00. This disturbed my sleep. Had there been air-conditioning on this warm night, I would not have noticed as much, but I had to leave the windows open for air. I would not stay there again in summer, but definitely any other time.

Efficient assistance getting to the airport for an early international flight. The room was inviting and clean. It appeared that someone had paid attention to details. The machine to make tea was nice. We would definitely stay at this hotel again if the need should arise. The hotel staff and shuttle driver were very helpful.

I liked the price of the room, the design, the big screen tv with lots of channels, good internet facilities and the airport shuttle. I did not like the meal. When I ordered the veal 'Zurich' style for €34.50, the price of a Michelin star meal in Dublin that would blow your mind, I was splashing out and expected something incredible. Instead I got overcooked veal in a simple sauce with an undercooked rosti. Also, I had to pay an extra €7 for the pleasure of having it in my room. So in total I paid €41.50, almost half the room price, for a substandard meal which I could have cooked better at home. This completely ruined my Allegra experience.

The hotel located outside the busy area of the city, it feels like being in a countryside, yet still so close to the central. With the railway station located right next to the hotel (<5mins walk!), and only 15 mins travel on the train (frequent timetable and trains are punctual!), it is definitely worth the trip for it's low room cost and peaceful environment. Furthermore, Kloten (the train stop for the hotel) is covered in the ZVV area, which is included when you get a all zone day ticket (recommended for those interested to visit other areas of Zurich) or the Zurich pass (recommended for those who want to visit museums). Sound proof of the room was good too, you won't hear any of the train noise at the room. There is a mini fridge in the room and a free bottle of water every day.The hotel staffs were very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast costs 10 Swiss Franc each, which is recommended during your stay, because the general cost of living in Zurich are extremely expensive, 10 CHF could get you nothing more than a cup of coffee and a croissant, whereas the buffet breakfast provided a good variety of breakfast choices. There's also a supermarket right next to the hotel. There's no door at the shower place...
