Ascot Hotel  

Very knowledgable and friendly staff, very good location and reasonable price

Uncomfortable pillow

We stayed at the Ascot for St Patricks weekend. On arrival at the hotel we were greeted by a friendly person who was very helpful. Our room was very nice of good size extreamly clean and very relaxing. It had its own coffee maker which was great. The staff all weekend were of the same manner very friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was good. Great variety of yogurts,bread,juices,fruit and the scrambled eggs were very tasty. Location was perfect for us. As it was our first time in Zurich.It is of walking distance to the beautiful lake, and to the shopping areas. The train station across from the hotel has direct lines to the airport, and the tram line is outside the hotel takes you all around the city. Also we found the train/tram maps very easy to follow. We were delighted with our stay in the Ascot and would recommend it.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Excellent transport links: direct train to the airport twice an hour from the station just on the other side of the square, and good tram links to the city centre. Room very comfortable, nice to have a balcony.

A bit noisy because of the trams. Perhaps the rooms at the back are quieter. Coffee machine in room does not produce water hot enough for decent tea, but the staff were quick to bring a kettle when I asked.

This hotel has charming staff who are always happy to serve and assist their guests The breakfast is not standard of 4 star Hotel and have to up grade the breakfast menu to meet the standard of 4 stare Hotel

They didn't clean the room. Just fix the beds and that is it.

The personnel was very friendly and polite and willing to help with everything. The room was very clean, I was very pleased staying in Ascot Hotel and most probably I will choose again in the future.

I did not like that I was charged for 12 chf consuming something for the mini bar, when actually I did not consume anything, This is something that should be communicated because this small detail sometimes can ruin all the above.

the lack of air-conditioning in one of the rooms was a major disapointment, while the other room air - con was too mild.

Room was pretty nice. Close to work.

I thought the restaurant and entire lobby/sitting area could be spruced up - it was too old English for my liking but maybe that's the style they're going for. The performer in the restaurant was ok, not great.

Ich kenne das Hotel seid vielen Jahren! Das Hotel liegt logistisch sehr günstig und hat eine Garage, auch wenn sie teuer zu bezahlen ist, CHF 40,- pro Nacht. Das Hotel hat ein angenehmes Flair und ein gutes Restaurant anzubieten.

Das das Zimmer zur Straße gelegen war und daher durch den Verkehrslärm der Genuss eingeschränkt war.

Bonne situation géographique, nous nous déplaçons en train en face de la gare et près de la salle de concert.

Il n'y a aucune information en français, n'y au restaurant et dans la chambre????
