Good range of things at breakfast

Rooms were much too hot, and no way to cool them down. If I opened the window the noise and smoke from the bars in the street below drifted up and made sleep impossible. If I closed the window, the room heated up so much that I had to sleep without covers every night (and this was only in June). The hotel provided a fan on the last night, which helped a bit.

Very badly organised breakfast structure. The worst I've ever known

I especially appreciated that it is now a non-smoking hotel...even if some people think that means that they can hang out the window and smke anyway...

The hotel needs a really good cleaning. Although it has been up-graded since I last stayed there many years ago, it is shabby and needs to have all the carpeting really well shampooed!!! Geneva is an expensive city and the Capitole is relatively not that expensive - but for the price, I should not have to feel that walking barefoot in the hotel room could be hazardous to my heath....

Good location, very close to the lake and to the Gare. A number of nice restaurants around the hotel aria.

Some problems with electricity in our room. A little bit noisy district. In our opinion a very expensive hotel for it`s level...

For the price, this is a great hotel in a great location. There are reviews saying that the area is a bit dodgy, but we didn't feel this at all - and were quite happy to walk around in the evenings to one of the many eating options in the area.

The showers took a bit of getting used to, and it seemed that anytime someone in the greater Geneva area flushes a loo, it affects the flow of cold water - leaving one with scalding water to deal with.

Noisey at night due to location in the city, and the room was quite dull even dark

Spacious room which had been newly refurbished; brand new bathroom with power shower; friendly, helpful staff; great location close to railway station and lake.

The dining area is still in need of refurbishment and access is via a bar.

If you like original 1960s hotel design and furniture, you will be very pleased with this hotel. The staff was very friendly. I arrived rather late at night and was quickly and efficiently checked-in by the night receptionist. The Hotel is within easy walking distance of the Central Station. Standard buffet breakfast.

Small rooms and even smaller beds. I am not very big, but I had to sleep diagonally in a double bed to avoid my feet sticking out of the bed. No air-co. The Hotel is in a street which at night doubles as the local red light area. The Hotel is too expensive for the quality offered.

Friendly staff and good location! Breakfast was good too.

Variable rates for different days! Requested for Electirc adapter on the website but was made to buy but this policy was not reflected on the website.

extremly hot. were at the top floor, room was samll and it was too hot even with two fans, at least 32-33 centigrade, definitely needs AC to feel comfortable. but they did not have AC installed.
