Everthing was good. The Weather was bad on 1 day and the hotel staff provided my little one with a jacket and also umberellas ... They were very kind to us. The breakfast was filling and I will surely visit this place once more. On the last day it was raining very heavily and they let us stay back till the weather had eased out. Overall very exciting place. On a clear sky the view s aare just breaktaking and one can go on various walkinf trails. We went to Gimmelwalk just a 35 min walk from the hotel and offers the views of Eiger Mont and Junfrau peaks...

The Hotel Eidelweiss was very nice. They gave us a room with a balcony so we had a view of the Eiger, Monk and Jungfrau. It was beautiful. The room was very nice and good sized. The staff was very nice and helpful and spoke English. The breakfast that was included in the price was very good. I would definately recommedn this hotel to a friend.

Exterior looks too simple, but it was all renovated inside especially bathroom was looking brand-new. The view from balcony was indescribable. Facing to deep valley, and at other side of the valley is the hill of Kl.Scheidegg. Color of mountains & sky was changing gradually, and we could enjoy seeing various colors during sunsetting. Actually we booked a junior suite but a lady(guess owner) showed us 2 different types, junior suite and superior twin, so that we could choose superior twin with such gougeous view. All staff was so friendly that we could spend nice weekend in Muerren.

The hotel is very pleasant. It's clean and well maintained. The view from the hotel is beautiful as you can see the Jungfrau, Monch and Eiger mountains. Breakfast is good and the one dinner we had was good too. The crew is friendly and helpfull. There is no way to get to the Murren village by car. The only way is by cable car. One has to leave the car in a parking place in the valley. This arrangement is not comfortable and quite expensive. The cable car costs 11 CHF for a person one way and the parking another 5 -8 CHF a day. During the weekend the cable car was very crowded and it took a long time to go up to Murren. Once you are up in the village and did not forget anything in the car, you can stay up hill with no real need to go down.

Beautiful Location and wonderful newer room! Very quiet and comfortable, stunning location. The food was Horribly expensive! Switzerland is very expensive already and we found the food to be very mediocre for the outrageous prices.

The owners are very nice people and helpful. The location offers total privacy if you have a mountain view room. The towels and linens in my room could have been better quality. I had a synthetic comfortor not down. A towel had holes and were frayed. That is the only hotel which did not suppy down in my 20 day stay in Switz. I asked the housekeeper but she said that is all they had. I did not bother to ask the owners as they work so hard and are busy. It would be nice to have a waterboiler in the room. I brought my own. It was cold weather and it would be nice if they had a tea maker available in the room or complimentary for guests to use.

Unreal location on the edge of the cliff. The updated rooms in the new "wing" are fantastic. Restaurant was not worth the visit, but there aren't a lot of choices in Murren that would have been much better.

We stayed in a standard room (not on new wing) and the room is clean and smells fresh. The breakfast is also very good. The hotel is near the train station and there is a good Chinese restaurant right next door. The hotel is also a few minutes walk to a Coop store and the funicular to Almendhubel. Overall, a nice experience. We were charged 90 chf (for 3 nights) for an extra bed which we have not requested for when we made the booking (we are only 2 adults and we have a 3-year old who usually just sleeps with us). When we checked in we were also not advised that there is a charge for the extra bed which they have already set-up in our room prior to our arrival. We thus assumed it is free (especially coming off Montreux wherein an extra bed has been set up for us also for free). Thus we do not appreciate this charge but cannot do anything as when we checked the booking.com conditions it is stated there there is a charge for an extra bed. Anyways, overall still a good experience...

The service mentality of the staff and the fantastic location of the hotel with spectacular views of the three peaks (Jungfrau, Monch and Eiger) make the expensive swiss tariffalmost acceptable :-) Not getting a room on the "mountain facing"side. Another point but that is not so much about the hotel: Nowhere was a mention of the fact that Murren is a car free city made until completing the booking. We had to park our car in Lauter Brunnen and because of this we had to cater for nearly 2 extra hours in each of our day's plans in order to get in/ get out from Murren to Lauterbrunnen (taking into accoutn teh train timings etc).
