Balcony view over the beautiful lake and the buzz of the jazz festival. Weather was fab too !

Surly young girl on reception giving us unclear directions to park the car in their private garage, and then arguing with us rather than apologising - you only get one chance to make a good first impression.

The staff were very friendly and helpful especially when it came to recommendations for restaurants. The views of the Lake and Alps from the foyer and the actual room were magnificent.

We chose to stay at the Hotel Eden Palace because of location and because it was the only luxurious hotel with an outdoor swimming pool. Upon arrival we discovered that the swimming pool would not open until July and was not even owned by the hotel. The sauna was not open either.

Helpful staff, clean, comfortable room of good size.

The "mountain view" rooms actually overlook the back of a shopping centre, though if you crane your neck a bit you can see the mountains. Not so troubled by that, but the garbage truck, street sweepers and everything else from 6am made it hard to get any sleep. Get a lake view and bear the loss.

we payed a lot of money and got the smallest rooms i have seen in all hotels i have been staying. On the last day when Ipayed the bill in cash money they "made a mistake" of 100 swiss franks and only when
I told them about the mistake they gave me the money back. if I did not notice, the receptionist would take the money to her pocket

The staff were very helpful and the hotel itself has a nice ambience.

Just that their restaurant was only available for breakfast buffet. They would open for lunch and dinner starting Feb. 27 while I was there from Feb. 1 to 18th. So I had to go out everyday for lunch and dinner. But I enjoyed their buffet for breakfast.
