The location was ideal for us to get to the wedding venue and it was perfect being right next door to the train station and close to the bus routes. The en suite rooms are actaully outstanding with all amenities. Sadly, the standard rooms didn't hold up to our expectations. The rooms were extremely basic considering the price we paid. Although the breakfast was satisfactory it was disappointing to find no hot food offered at all.

Friendly receptionist, casual and professional at the same time. Apart from the friendly receptionist at the desk, the rest was fairly poor, poor, poor. Old rusted bathroom, a grandma style bedrooms, small and poor. Man, man... If you've been in Madrid and stayed in a yougth hostel, this 'hotel' was fairly worse. It says three stars. I would put it minus three starts. They should say: 'It's a poor budget hostal/shelter/pension, but we charge three times more".

Friendly staff, less money that many Swiss hotels. It doesn't have the painstaking tidiness of some Swiss places, but that's fine.

The staff are excellent, very helpful and accommodating. The rooms are exactly as described elsewhere, rather utilitarian, but clean. My room was at the front and the train noises were clear but did not bother me so much. I had a room on the top floor with a shared bathroom. The shared bathroom was very clean and I did not see other guests so seemed to have it to myself. Breakfast was basic, but fresh and tasty. It is a more spartan hotel, but for Vevey, the price and location are very good.

Excellent place when arriving by train although there is plenty of car parking available aswell. It is only a few steps from the railway station on an agreably quiet road. Rooms and bathrooms are rather tiny but sufficiently well equipped. You get a good breakfast in a big, nice, a bit nostalgic restaurant (where you also could have dinner). Everything looks clean and well maintained. If it was just for 1 or 2 nights I`d certainly choose this hotel again.

I stayed at the Hotel de Famille 30 years ago. (I know the Lavaux area, working there in the hotel trade in the early1970s.) The hotel is a comfortable place to stay and the location in Vevey centre is ideal with just an 8 minute stroll to the lake with its superb view. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I found the staff welcoming and efficient. My French is pretty fluent so communication was not a problem. From what I could see, English speaking guests didn't have any problems either. I would definitely stay there again. The hotel entrance is a short walk from the railway station with the railway line running behind the hotel. I had a room at the front but the noise of trains is still audible. It is still a comfortable place to stay but needs some updating and refurbishment. The shower room washbasin was slightly chipped and cracked and the tiled floor and shower were showing their age somewhat, although the carpet in the bedroom was new. They still use old fashioned keys. If the hotel was given a major refurb the resulting price hike might put it outside my budget so on balance I'd prefer it as it is.

Clean room, free breakfast, reliable wifi, great location, nice staff. A double room means two single beds pushed up next to each other. This wasn't a big deal, but was a little inconvenient.

Welcoming was OK even the staff (check in and/or check out is alone). This hotel has a charm of the old years....except the furnitures of the lobby taht don't match with the hotel in general The rooms are really not isolated, and we heared the couple near our room untill 2 o'clock in the morning. Expensive globally

An average hotel which fulfills the main criteria for a two to three star hotel. It is very close to the railway station and there is therefore a great deal of noise from the trains all night. The cost of our room was Sfr.135.60 Which I would consider expensive, although Switzerland has become outrageous, price wise. There was no tolet in the bathroom. It is obviously a vey old hotel that needs modernising.

This hotel was well-located beside the train station. The hotel staff was clean and well-maintained. Breakfast was only ok. This hotel probably represented good value in an expensive city and country.

The location near the City Centre was good and the town was a good place to stay. Also a good location for the region. The breakfast was poor for a 3 star hotel. There was a faulty light in the room (about which I did not complain).

Proximity to main station in Vevey The breakfast room was very dirty - chairs, sticky floor, with dishes not being picked up for quite a long time. Expecting a much better value for the money charged!

The staff in the hotel were extremely friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was great. Location was perfect (right beside the train station)! Overall, an excellent base to visit Vevey and the surrounding area. The shared bathrooms were a bit impractical. There were two showers and a toilet, which meant that the showers were unavailable when someone was using the toilet. However, they were clean and powerful!

Stuff was friendly and location is close to the city centre. Its not a three star hotel as the rooms are like youth hostel rooms and not for a three star hotel. There were even no place and hangers to put your suit and shirts. Overall its too expensive for the facilities service offered.
