Hotel de Famille

rooms and public spaces need updating - look a bit tacky; breakfast very limited choise

There was absolutelly nothing at all that I liked about the hotel it was awfull and expensive especially compared to my next hotel the Movenpick at the airport which only cost £20 more.

Cleanliness,amount of towells,breakfast, poor pillows.

Freight trains running through station all night. Proximity kept myself and collegues up. Breakfast very sparse. one cold meat, baguette and warm juice. Very basic and dated

The swimming pool. Room was comfortable.

Breakfast ran out quite quickly - croissants were not replaced. No vegetarian options on restaurant menu for evening meal so we ate elsewhere, despite the torrential rain, as 2 of us were vegetarian.

All the staff at the reception desk were very helpful, very central location near to the station, room was kept spotlessly tidy and clean every day. Use of Riviera Card given to me by hotel was very useful providing free travel on local buses and discounts on some entrances to local attractions plus funicular railways

Rate was fair; Close to station so easy to find, and handy for travel; Also close to client's office (reason for staying there).

Railway noise; Old, flat pillows and no spares in wardrobe; Camp-bed style beds; Tiny bathroom (door had groove cut into it so it could miss the sink!); No main bathroom light - shower curtain therefore made cubicle very dark with only mirror light; Thin walls so could hear next door guest moving about and their TV; Old furniture (second-hand?)

convenient location

very basic. not as expected of 3 star hotel. uncomfortable beds. very very basic bathroom. tired decoration. flies and insects in bedrooms and bathrooms.

Hotel ist nahe am Bahnhof. Man konnte die Velos in einem separaten, abschliessbaren Raum unterbringen.

Das Frühstück war bei weitem nicht ausreichend bei dem Preis. Für die ersteren Gäste (es waren auch hartarbeitende Arbeiter) gabe es zum Teil noch Brot, nachher nur noch aufgebackene Gipfeli, einige Brötchen und Toastbrot. Die Bedienfrau war ganz u. gar nicht aufmerksam. Sie erledigte alles mögliche für Arbeiten, nur nicht das Bedienen. Es nennt sich Familenhotel. Ich kann mir nicht vorstellen, wie hier Kinder einigermassen satt werden sollten. Dies Art von Frühstück schafft keinen Goowill. So ist das Hotel kaum weiterzuempfehlen. Eventuell den Preis (um Fr. 5.-) anheben. Schade. Wie schon erwähnt ist die Lage super.
